FDA members recently came together at One Great George Street in Westminster for their Annual Delegate Conference (ADC) 2026 🤝

Hear from our President Margaret Haig as she reflects on this year's conference. From debating and voting on the policies that will shape FDA's priorities for the year ahead, to Q&As and sessions with expert guest speakers including Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Darren Jones and i Paper’s Political Editor Caroline Wheeler, ADC 2026 was a day to remember.

"There is another part of the picture still to come: accountability for how the scheme administration arrived at such a low point. The FDA delegation to the TUC Black Workers’ Conference moved a motion on ‘Recruitment opportunities for Ethnic Minority Workers in the public sector’, which called for transparent recruitment procedures to be adopted across the public sector to prevent discriminatory hiring practices, particularly in relation to the use of AI in these processes.

In April, the 2025 TUC Black Workers’ Conference took place at Congress House in London, attended by a delegation of FDA members.
