We are deeply saddened by the passing of Joy Rowley over the weekend. She was a phenomenal trade unionist and champion for working people, and will have a lasting impact on Community.

As a representative on our National Executive Committee, Joy dedicated her life to advocating for educators and nurturing female leaders within the union movement.

Joy will be deeply missed, but her impact will never be forgotten.

Community was sad to learn about the death of Joy Rowley over the weekend. A fighter for justice and friend to all, Joy was a vital and unwavering voice for women within our union.
