*Save local services! Save the day centre dementia service on Central Hill!*

UNISON are locked in a battle with Lambeth Council to save essential local services from being run down and decimated all in the interest of saving some money.

They are proposing to close the Day Centre at Central Hill which specialises in dementia care (Lambeth Council's only specialist dementia day centre), deleting a number of posts and moving the vastly reduced service to a room in a building which the staff are saying is totally unsuitable for the service users. This service has been run down by the Council at a time when people with dementia will increase in the coming years.

UNISON members have had two days of strikes and are on strike again from 1-5 June to save jobs and local services.

We are raising money for a hardship fund to keep people out on strike. Can you donate something to help their campaign?
