We're pleased to share some exciting news regarding Get up and Go👀✨...

On Friday the 21st of August, Community Transport Waltham Forest and Newham will be hosting an event to celebrate the launch of the recently revamped Get Up and Go services, with thanks to The Motability Foundation.

Enjoy an afternoon of activities, workshops, refreshments, friends and relaxation at the gorgeous venue of Valentines Mansion.

Spaces are extremely limited and expected to book very fast. If you are interested in attending, please do get in touch with Dan from the Get Up and Go Team!

We have gained some new followers over the past couple of days, so we think it's time we reintroduce ourselves.

We are Community Transport Waltham Forest and Newham , and we have recently received a grant from The Motability Foundation to create Get Up And Go, a group of services to help the elderly get out and about, with the aim of combating loneliness and isolation. We have 3 popular services right now, including an excursion club, a shopping shuttle, and a bi-monthly social club. This page will be keeping you up to date with all sorts of news, pictures, and stories of the people who use our services.

Our Sunday lunch club had a wonderful afternoon enjoying a fantastic show by Jazzanne Arts. The performance brought smiles, laughter and nostalgia as everyone enjoyed the fun. Through Music and Dance, the show took them back to their teenage years, reminding them of special moments and much loved songs. Thank you to our lovely performers ❤️
