Today, Jess and her wonderful team will be treating us all to reflexology and hand treatments.

If you're local, get yourselves down to Brighton MET College (in Brighton) to experience these beautiful treatments and take a little time for yourself.

This special event has been created in loving memory of precious Ruben – Jess's darling son – as a way of creating a space for calm, self-care, and connection for others. What a beautiful tribute and lasting legacy of love.

We're so excited to hear how today's event goes, and we're already looking forward to next Tuesday too! (And yes, we're definitely hoping to sneak in a cheeky treatment ourselves! 😊)

A huge thank you to Jess and her team for sharing their time, skills, and kindness to support such an important cause.

✨ Support for Settings: Helping Children Through the Loss of a Sibling ✨

2026 Applications Now Open | Settings Resource Pack

When a family is expecting a baby, children often share in the excitement. When a baby sadly dies through miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death, explaining that loss to a child can feel overwhelming.

Our funded Sibling Support Resource Pack is designed to help schools and early years settings support children and families through this difficult time.

The pack includes:

Carefully chosen books for children and siblings
Guidance on answering difficult questions honestly and sensitively

Practical support and signposting for practitioners
Access to advice and guidance from our team
You may be asking:

♥️ How do I start the conversation?
♥️ What resources should I use?
♥️ How can I best support a grieving child?

By signing up, you are committing to providing compassionate support and reaching out for guidance whenever needed.

Eligible settings in Sussex:

Primary Schools
Nurseries
Pre-Schools
Children's Centres
Family Hubs

These resources have been generously funded by Osbornes Law and we are incredibly grateful for their support.

Please note: your setting must be based in Sussex and fall into one of the categories above to be eligible.

We are here for every child and family who needs us.

Love OWF ♥️

⭐️Words from another grieving Dad ⭐️

“Dads, we all know that not all grief feels the same. The grief of a father isn’t always the same as that of a mother or of a partner…not worse, not better just different! That’s ok.

We don’t always grieve, we often bottle it up, we say we are fine when we aren’t, it eats us up and we don’t often show it (sometimes until it’s too late)

With Father’s Day approaching remember, it’s ok to be sad!

It’s ok to cry and most important it’s ok to ask for help

Dads Grieve Too

❤️ Thinking of you as we approach Father’s Day ❤️

As Father’s Day approaches, our thoughts are with the dads who will be carrying a grief that many people may not see.

For fathers whose precious baby or babies have died ~ whether recently or many years ago ~ this time of year can bring a mixture of emotions.

Love, pride, longing, sadness, gratitude, heartbreak.

Grief has no timeline, and the absence of a child is felt forever.

While Father’s Day is often filled with celebrations, cards and family gatherings, it can also be a painful reminder of the moments that should have been, the memories that were never made, and the child who is deeply loved and deeply missed.

To every bereaved dad: your baby or babies matters.

Your fatherhood matters.

The bond you have with your child did not end when they died.

You are, and always will be, their dad.

This Father’s Day, may you be given space to remember, to speak your child’s name if you wish, and to honour the love that continues to exist.

Thinking of all the fathers who are carrying their babies in their hearts rather than in their arms.

You are not forgotten.

“I still remember opening the door to the postman, who stood there with a package and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. It was the morning of Oscar-Jensen’s funeral. My heart was shattered. I couldn’t begin to process what lay ahead, and all I wanted was to hold my precious boy one more time.”

Before leaving for the funeral home, I opened the package. Inside was the sweetest little bear. From that moment on, he became my Oscar Bear.

Through the cold, dark, lonely winter nights, Oscar Bear brought me comfort when I needed it most. He was something tangible to hold onto when my arms ached for Oscar.

I will never be able to thank my dear friend Natasha enough for such a thoughtful and precious gift.
Oscar Bear became the inspiration behind our Love-a-Bear Memory Bear Project. Created with love and understanding, this project helps fill those aching arms with something soft to hold, cuddle, and cherish during the hardest moments of grief.

Our beautiful larger bear is a gentle, comforting memory bear ~ a reminder that love remains, even when someone we love is no longer by our side.
