Two weeks ago we enjoyed our Summer Fete at The Mead. Residents and their families came together to support this event.

With singing from our amazing entertainer, stalls, a raffle, barbecue and refreshments including ice cream.

🍦 Happy National Ice Cream Day! 🍧

We had a wonderful time celebrating National Ice Cream Day with our residents and staff, enjoying delicious ice cream and refreshing ice pops together.

There were smiles all around as everyone tucked into their favourite flavours, shared laughs, and enjoyed spending time together. It’s these simple moments of fun and togetherness that make our home such a special place.

Today we enjoyed a lovely visit to Aylett Nurseries. We spent time looking at the beautiful flowers, plants and garden displays before relaxing with delicious cake and drinks.

There was plenty of chatting, laughter and smiles as everyone enjoyed the outing. Some of our residents even picked out a few lovely plants to take home.

🍫 Today we celebrated World Chocolate Day by enjoying a variety of chocolate bars and tasty chocolate milkshakes. What a fun and delicious day! 😋

Nominations are now open for our 2026 Care Awards. These awards give us a further opportunity to celebrate the great work that our staff teams do each and every day right across our home. This year there are 8 award categories for which staff members can be nominated.

Our residents created a beautiful flowering tree filled with messages of kindness, love, patience, dedication, and thanks for all the wonderful staff at The Mead.
