One of our carer’s son was so inspired by our residents’ wonderful creations for the National Day of Arts in Care Homes that he decided to have a go himself, creating his very own dog using the same techniques! 🐶🎨 We think he’s done an absolutely fantastic job! How wonderful is his artwork? It’s so lovely to see our residents’ creativity inspiring the next generation.

🐾🎨 Stories That Connect Us at The Mead Care Home 🎨🐾

Our residents and staff celebrated National Day of Arts in Care Homes 2026 with a fun and creative dog themed craft. 🐶🧶

Dogs brought back lovely memories of beloved pets, family life and shared hobbies, making our artwork especially meaningful. ❤️

We also reused cardboard from The Mead, turning simple recycled materials into something colourful and creative. ♻️

A wonderful day of creativity, memories, laughter and connection! ❤️
