Here at Panda’s Tree our mission is to create a community and support network for Black/Mixed families and their friends, who are expecting, raising, or helping to raise with a child with a Down syndrome diagnosis.

Reflecting Radiance Exhibition is back!!! 🖤💛💙 this time in collaboration with .archives

If you missed it last year this is your chance to catch it. With incredible photos by , poetry by and mini documentary by , come along from the 7th - 30th April 2026.

This year there is the added bonus of 2 childrens book readings of the Ugo and Sim Sim series feat. 2 new books (Sim Sim goes to the Salon and I don't like the birthday song) for the first time on the 8th and 9th April sponsored by and a parent carer wellbeing session sponsored by and on the 14th April.

Happy Mother’s Day to all kinds of Mothers 💐

To the mothers who gave birth, the mothers who adopted, the stepmothers who chose to love as their own, the single/solo mothers who carry so much with strength and grace, the grandmothers who step in with endless wisdom, the foster mothers who open their hearts and homes, the mothers-to-be dreaming of the day they’ll hold their child, the mothers who have lost children yet still carry their love forever, the SEND mothers who endlessly fight, advocate and protect, the mothers who raised us, guided us, protected us, and believed in us.

To the aunties, sisters, mentors, and mother figures who show up with kindness, patience, and care; you matter too.

Motherhood comes in many forms, but at its heart it is love, sacrifice, courage, and compassion. Today we celebrate every woman who nurtures, supports, and uplifts others with a mother’s heart.
Thank you for the hugs, the lessons, the strength, the comfort, and the unconditional love. The world is brighter because of you.

Happy Mother’s Day to every kind of mother everywhere. You are deeply appreciated and endlessly loved. 💖🌷

We mother, we wife, we daughter, we solo parent.

We carry so much, we are one of the greatest beings ever created.

To all women today, I truly hope you are celebrated well.

What a year! Honestly, I could not have asked for a better year for the Black Down Syndrome community here in the UK.

Our work would not have been possible without so many members both inside and outside of our core community supporting us throughout the year.

I am most grateful for our family; the amazing, beautiful, creative and relentless women and men who have made so much possible this year for so many in the Black DS community and proving that .

So a massive thank you to the original Panda's Tree friends ans families who supported from day one; to my "partners in crime" , , ; without whom our greatest accomplishment this year would not have been possible. The support from , , ,, and anyone who we have forgotten to mention, you know who you are and we love and appreciate you.

May 2026 be our best year yet!

Taking care of vulnerable loved ones 💞

It is so important to plan ahead, especially if you are a parent carer. We get so busy with all that is thrown at us, but honestly, if you can insure your car or phone, or plan a holiday then you can do this.

A big thank you to the team for sharing much needed and valuable info on Wills, Trusts, Lasting Power of Attorney, saving for vulnerable individuals, pensions etc.

She is the reason behind why I created Panda's Tree.

I never knew how much one person could change your world and encourage you to want to change the world for everyone else.

This year, I am super proud of all Panda has accomplished and excited for the year to come.

Happy birthday, Panda. May you and the community continue to grow from strength to strength.
