Today marks the 10th anniversary of the WCA, a milestone that reflects a decade of profound transformation for both the global cement industry and the wider world economy.

Founded in 2016 to provide an independent international platform for cement producers and industry stakeholders, the WCA has grown over the past ten years into a global network promoting cooperation, innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence across the sector.

“The industry has had to navigate extraordinary external pressures affecting economies and societies worldwide. Over the past decade, we have seen growing momentum behind decarbonisation, alternative fuels, clinker reduction, carbon capture technologies, and intelligent manufacturing. Looking ahead, the pace of change will only accelerate,” WCA CEO, Philippe Richart.
