On behalf of the Organising Committee, I would like to offer huge congratulations to the above teams. They have proved themselves worthy of a significant title in Amateur Radio Sport. I am sorry we are unable to do an official ceremony following the event Wyboston, however this is an excuse to hold mini such events around the world in the year that follows! Gold medalists Uli and Manfred, well done. You produced a fine score and are great champions for WRTC 2026.

I am sure Tine S50A will provide some words to retrospectively close WRTC 2026 virtually. Thank you to everyone for your patience. G0MTN and I are delighted at now being members of the Sanctioning Committee where we look forward to working towards a bright and healthy future for WRTC with the fantastic members and previous hosts that are already a part of that team.

73,
Mark M0DXR (now QRT in an ‘official’ WRTC 2026 capacity)!

Organising Committee Announcement 27 July 2026

The WRTC 2026 Organising Committee have become aware of a number of discrepancies contained within log files from competing stations at this year’s event. Consultation with the Judging Committee has confirmed that these findings are of particular importance as they may impact on the finishing positions of the teams.

An emergency meeting was called between the Directors of the OC where this was discussed and it was agreed that the Judging Committee should continue analysis in order to prepare a report for the OC. Whilst we do not want this to take a long time, I have instructed that this must be a thorough and complete re-analysis to enable the results to reach a position of absolute conclusion.

The UK OC have always held the fairness of the competition at the heart of what we have done. Maintaining the integrity of WRTC so that it has a future of positivity and growth are very important to us. WRTC has no place for foul play. Actions that the minority choose to take that adversely interfere with the competition will be tackled rather than accepted.

Once we have a final outcome, it will be passed to the Sanctioning Committee for endorsement prior to public announcement.

If competitors have any further information that could be useful to the judges, please send this to Tree N6TR: [email protected]

Thank you for your patience as we address this important issue.

Mark Haynes, M0DXR
