Catching up with The Hub after half term? We are too!

Most of our regular programmes are back on for the new term and taking bookings. If you're keen to try out a new yoga or pilates class,we've got plenty of offerings for most days of the week - take your pick! If you're looking to get your child involved in any dance, language, writing, theatre or group activities we also have plenty of options.

The stained glass window in the library foyer got a much needed cleaning this year.

The Carnegie Library is a Grade II Listed Heritage building and we love the small details of this gorgeous space that we call home.

Next time you're in the foyer, look up!

We were so grateful that the Scar Free Foundation chose the Carnegie Library Hub to host their first community event! It was our first time hosting our Heritage Away Day package, so firsts all around!

We've just launched our new Away Day Packages and we would love to host your organisation's next off-site strategy meeting, planning forum or block of workshops at our Hub!

We have two distinct packages to fit your organisation's needs, whether you're keeping things simple, or going full tech - choose from our Heritage or Carnegie packages, each available in a variety of light-filled, quiet and accessible rooms. You’ll find everything you need to create an event space that works for you, your attendees and your organisation. We even offer add-ons like platters or catering options from our Carnegie Cafe if you'd like lunch or bites.

Our .cafe is a lovely place for kiddos, but they've got something special just for adults - Pinchos and Plates is a new Thursday evening event for rom 7-9pm to gather your mates for a small plate and a drink. Modeled after Spanish style tapas or our little version of a Carnegie Happy Hour, you can get three Pinchos for a tenner and with a different menu each time!

Hard to believe it's already May and Summer is just around the corner!

Things are still in flow here at The Hub with our regular partner programmes and the Carnegie Cafe - save your Thursday evening for their new "Pinchos & Plates" an evening of tapas style bites, bevvies, and good company!

We've been making loads of new improvements to our rooms here at the Hub!

All of our rooms now come with colour coordinated custom made sound baffles to help with the acoustics in our rooms! This comes as great news to our choirs and groups who use the room for workshops and presentations.

Our baffles were made by our Board chair Tom, our volunteer carpenter Dan, and the fabric was fitted by Tom's lovely mother and son. many hands helped make them and we hope you like them!

We're excited to be hosting the Herne Hill Film Festival's opening night programme next Friday to showcase the Oscar Winning film, One Battle After Another.

We had a blast last year welcoming so many new visitors into the space and partnering with such a wonderful community initiative!

Tickets 🎟️ are free and are first come first serve and will be distributed in person. Doors open at 6:30pm for drinks and bites in our Carnegie Cafe. Tickets holders will be permitted into the film screening at 7:15pm.

📌 Our partner, .school is kicking off a new Adult Intermediate Italian Class this week, if you're an experienced Italian speaker join her Mondays at 2pm.

📌 Tania Brown is back teaching her Tuesday night class at the Carnegie at 6:30pm.

📌 Got an issue you want to raise? Have a chat with your local Green Party Councillor Paul Valentine tonight in our Brixton Room from 6 - 7pm.

📌 Sara Ubaldi's monthly Gong Bath returns this evening at 7:45pm
