Castle Loch had a great visit from P3 Lochmaben Primary pupils. We had a Stone age lesson as hunter gathers, making bows and arrows. The rain didn’t stop us from having some fun.

Castle Loch volunteers have been busy cutting grass at the grassland and fitting a new bench in situ for you all to enjoy. Thankyou everyone for a great mornings work. Many thanks to ANCBC again, for the new outdoor furniture.

Castle loch had a lovely visit from P3/4 pupils from Lochmaben Primary today. We identified some of the pond species found in the Loch and recorded numbers. Thankyou to Tesco Stronger starts for the snacks and ANCBC for the upgraded outdoor furniture.

Castle Loch volunteers have continuing to relay Kirkhirst pathways and fixing some new picnic benches in situ. Thankyou for visiting Susan and Susan from NatureScot who came to help out, very much appreciated.

Castle Loch volunteers have been busy addressing the pathway though Kirkhirst woodlands. The Surface needed relayed with wood chip after the winter months and footfall. Thanks everyone for a great mornings work.
