Happy Friday everyone
We really do appreciate every share in helping Dan find his forever home. Once again, we are asking for your support because we know his perfect family is out there somewhere.

Dan has been waiting far too long, and we would love to see him finally get the happy ending he deserves. He is an amazing dog with the best personality. Dan is wonderful company and enjoys relaxing at home or joining you for adventures and always on his best behaviour.

🐾 Meet Tina 🐾

At 3 years old, Tina is proof that the biggest personalities can come in the smallest packages! This beautiful girl is full of love and ready to find a family of her very own.

Tina gets on wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys getting out and about on her walks, where she strolls along nicely on the lead. She also travels well in the car, making her the perfect companion for adventures.

While she can be a little reserved when meeting new people, it doesn't take long for her sweet and affectionate nature to shine through. Once she knows you, Tina is a loving and loyal friend with so much affection to give.

Having spent time in kennels, Tina is a clean and tidy girl who we think will adapt well to the comforts of home life.
No cats or small furries though

Another successful day for Margaret Hill, this time at the pre-loved clothing sale at the Loreburn Hall in Dumfries. Although the footfall seemed to be lower than the last time, £125 will be banked into DCGR funds on Monday. As most will know, DCGR is run totally by volunteers so every penny raised goes towards the welfare of greyhounds in our care.
Big thanks to Margaret from us all and to Matt and Viv from Damhead who popped in to lend support.

💙 Still waiting... over a year on, we are still searching for Dan's forever home.

Dan really has been thriving in foster care over the last couple of months. He loves going shopping, enjoys wild swimming adventures, and behaves impeccably when out and about.

He's house trained, walks beautifully on the lead, and continues to grow in confidence every day.

Dan is looking for a home as an only dog, without cats and isn't suited to a rural lifestyle or homes close to livestock. What he really needs is someone willing to look beyond those requirements and see the amazing dog he really is.

After more than a year waiting for his forever family, we would love to see Dan finally get the happy ending he deserves🐾❤️

This month's walk is around the Watchtree Nature Reserve, Wiggonby CA5 6NL, in a circular route enjoying the amazing wildflower meadows, woodland and wetland habitats full of local wildlife.

The date is Saturday 27 June, ready to set off at 1030.

Meeting at the main car park by the cafe entrance, the walk takes us on around 2 miles of flat, wide, surfaced paths around the reserve with plenty of information boards about the wildlife habitats and animals.

The facilities include parking, bikes to rent, the cafe with amazing sausage rolls and their Gelato Shack for doggy and human ice-cream. Hope to see you all there!

Our intrepid Margaret Hill has taken a table at the Loreburn Hall in Dumfries this Saturday where she will be taking along some of her own clothes as well as some wonderful quality clothes and accessories donated by supporters. If you are in the town, why not pop along and say hello to Margaret and have a browse. She will be wearing her DCGR fleece. You can be sure of a bargain. All funds raised go to the Greyhounds in our care.
