Hope Rescue is a registered charity (number 1129629) that saves stray and abandoned dogs in South Wales. We operate from a rescue centre in Llanharan and also have a charity shop in Pontypridd.

ONE WEEK UNTIL ITS TIME TO PARTY

There is still time to dust off your platform boots. Our ABBA Music Night is next Friday (11th September) and you can still get your tickets.

Join us at The Hi Tide, Porthcawl from 7pm for a night of pure ABBA magic with the UK's hottest tribute act Kiss the Teacher ABBA tribute band performing their sensational 100% ABBAtraction Show. Think Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Thank You for the Music and all the sing-along anthems you know and love 🎶

Expect fun and games, a raffle, and prizes for the best fancy dress (sequins very much encouraged, but optional!) - all while finding out more about our work helping dogs across South Wales.

WE DON'T PUT A PRICE ON A LIFE ❤️‍🩹

Hovis arrived with us as a stray with multiple pressure sores on his legs, a swollen right front wrist and paw, and scars old and new scattered across his body. Despite what looks like a very rough life, he's turned out to be one of the gentlest dogs we've had in a while.

70% of dogs who arrive at Hope need medical care, and Hovis is one of them. He's had his core vaccinations, worming and flea treatment, and he's now on antibiotics for his wounds and steroids to bring down the inflammation in his ears - swollen after long-term, untreated infections.

But we don't put a price on a life. Hovis will get all the care he needs until he's ready for his next chapter. Because at Hope, no dog is left behind ❤️

FROM A SUMMER PLEA TO AN INCREDIBLE GIFT

Earlier on this summer we put a plea out for help as the kennels at the rescue centre were getting so hot and there was an impending heat wave. Little did we know, it was the start of a very long hot spell. We were overwhelmed by the level of support that was offered by the local community in offering fans and other cooling methods. It really did help us to cool the dogs and team down.

What was even more overwhelming was to receive a generous offer of support to install air conditioning in the main kennel blocks from Ventair Cooling Ltd TF Solutions and Daikin UK These units will provide essential cooling in the long hot summers and heating during the chilly winter months. We are so grateful to all three companies for this incredible unexpected, generous gift that will make a huge difference for months and years to come.

As a token of our appreciation, we are inviting our new friends at these incredible companies to join our Partnership Programme so that we can continue this wonderful relationship.

Our Pontyclun and Talbot Green shops won't be able to take any more donations for a few days due to the sheer volume of stock we already have, but you're welcome to pop into any of our other charity shops in the meantime.
