This friendly and informative session will cover:

✅ Social tariffs and ways to reduce household bills
✅ Debt awareness and financial resilience
✅ Banking basics
✅ Support with PIP applications and form filling

Many people are missing out on financial support they're entitled to. This workshop will help you understand what's available and where to access help.

There will also be an opportunity to access personalised one-to-one support afterwards, helping you put what you've learned into practice.

✨ Our Chair Yoga is back tomorrow! ✨

We had such a lovely turnout last week, we are doing it all again 😁

Join us every Monday at 9:30am at Llanharan OAP Hall for gentle chair yoga, a warm welcome and a cuppa afterwards.

It's just £2 per person, and perfect for all abilities.

💚 What If We Looked at Our Community Differently? 💚

Recently, our Community Development Coordinator attended a workshop that challenged us to think differently about community development.

Often, organisations focus on what a community needs, what's missing, or what problems need solving.

But what if we flipped that thinking on its head?

What if we focused on what our community already HAS?

When we look around Llanharan, Brynna, Bryncae and the surrounding area, we see something pretty amazing.

🧑‍🏫 We see retired teachers with a lifetime of knowledge to share.
🧑‍🌾 We see gardeners who can transform neglected spaces into places full of life.
🧶 We see knitters, artists, crafters and makers passing on skills and bringing people together.
📸 We see youth workers, carers, cooks, photographers, builders, business owners and volunteers.
👷 We see people who are brilliant at organising events, fixing things, listening, welcoming others and making people feel part of something.

Every one of those skills is an asset, even if you think it's just a hobby.Every person has something valuable to offer.

This approach is called Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). Instead of focusing on what we don't have, we focus on the strengths, talents, passions and experiences that already exist within our community.

When local people share their skills and knowledge, incredible things happen.

🌳 Our Eco-Hub and Community Allotment is growing because volunteers shared their time and expertise.
🗺️ Our community groups thrive because people bring their hobbies, ideas and enthusiasm.
❤️ Our services are stronger because local people care enough to get involved.

So this week we would love to celebrate our community.
