Liverpool Lighthouse is a Black-led arts and community centre in North Liverpool, home of the National Gospel Music Centre and the Creative Influencers programme. We work with people in food poverty, refugees and asylum seekers, women experiencing homelessness and addiction, and children from disadvantaged backgrounds, using creativity and the arts to foster inclusion, social justice and wellbeing. Our work includes securing resources and recognition for gospel music as an under-invested Black artform, developing lived-experience Creative Influencers as advocates for social change, and running open-access community wellbeing programmes, youth creative literacy projects, and arts opportunities for communities who are underserved in access to culture. If our work means something to you, we'd love your support.

**Programmes now paused until Tuesday 19th May**

We are sorry that our works are taking longer than anticipated and the disruption to our services this causes.

We are keen to resume normal activity and there will be a phased opening of the building.

Community programmes will be back to normal next week starting Tuesday 19 May.

This week is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, and today we have been speaking at Liverpool Town Hall as part of the Liverpool Women's Health Conference.

** Please note: Our programmes are paused until Tuesday 12th May **

Thankyou for your patience during our building closure for emergency maintenance.

We are working to resolve our maintenance issues as soon as possible, but have been advised that they will take longer than initially anticipated. We fully expect this to be completed by the end of next week.

This means that regrettably our community and youth programmes will pause until Tuesday 12 May.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Do you remember getting completely lost in a story as a child?

We're looking for volunteers to give just one hour a week to support our Reading for Pleasure initiative – spending time sharing books with children aged 7–8, and helping them discover that same magic for themselves.

If that sounds like something you'd love to do, or you know someone who would, please share or get in touch!
