We can't believe it's been over a month since we had our Summer Street Party with Two Up Two Down 💃🌞🎊

What a day it was ! 💚

For a change it didn't rain (as it has for our last few parties) and although it might of been slightly too hot that didn't stop Mikey Kenney - Fiddle and Voice and Saltcutters from getting us all Ceilidh dancing !

We had over 100 people come down to enjoy a whole range of workshops and activities. We had the Liverpool Tool Library helping people use woodworking skills to make a handcrafted game 🛠️🪚

We had Kitty's Gardening group helping people make sub-irrigated plant pots with herb seedlings 🌱🌿 We'd love to see some pictures if your plants have started to grow !

We also had the Travelling Power Station come down to visit and helped us all imagine how the future of energy may look in our community ⚡🔋

We had amazing performances from Liverpool Irish Choir, Olavo Costa and Kitty's writers group. We were all blown away by the performances... What a wealth of talent we have in our community 👏👏👏

Free Bike Repair Session with Peloton Liverpool next Tuesday from 10am - 2pm 🚴🛠️

We're delighted to be hosting fellow community cooperative Peloton Liverpool as part of Cycling UK Big Bike Revival for this free bicycle repairs session 💚

There is no hidden cost just come along with yourself... and your bike of course! There will be an experienced bike mechanic on hand to help you out with minor repairs and carry out safety checks ✨

Tomorrow is the day of our Summer Street Party with Two Up Two Down 🎉🕺☀️

These pictures are from our last Street party 2 years ago!

Expect an afternoon and evening filled with great food, live music, creative activities, workshops, dancing, conversation, and plenty of opportunities to connect with friends, neighbours, and local organisations.

There'll be something for everyone, including:
🎶 Live performances from a ceilidh, Liverpool Irish Choir and Kitty's Writers Group
🍲 Free food from Fozia's and a licensed bar.
🎨 Family-friendly activities, including face painting and interactive workshops.
🌱 Hands-on sessions exploring gardening, community energy, home retrofit demonstrations, and more.

Community Meeting

Hello everyone!

As mentioned at our last screening, we have received some funding from Cinema for All to organise a little film festival in Anfield! This is super exciting and we are ecstatic to be delivering this.

On Wednesday 8th July we will be hosting a Community Meeting at Kitty’s Launderette to discuss how we are organising the festival and we need input from you!

As well as helping us make key decisions on what films we are screening, we’d be interested to hear where in Anfield you think we should host films. Where in Anfield should we turn into a pop up cinema?

We will also be asking for volunteers to help in the delivery of the festival and the day to day running of the festival when it is on.

If you are interested in popping down please do drop a thumbs up in on this post!

It'll be a very Irish affair at our Summer Street Party ! 🇮🇪

Paying homage to our namesake and Derry born Liverpool Hero Kitty Wilkinson we're delighted to be bringing you music from the heart of the emerald isle💚

Mikey Kenney and friends will be joining us in tradition, leading us in a ceilidh dance to get us all moving 🕺

We will then have Liverpool Irish Choir joining us from 5pm-6pm, singing some classics mixed in with some poetry performed by Kitty's writers group 🎶✍️

So... Why not join us and Two Up Two Down next Saturday 11th July from 2pm - 9pm at Kitty's (77 Grasmere Street)🎉

There is also free food, a fully licensed bar, and interactive workshops for your enjoyment throughout the day ☀️
