Priority Youth Project

Priority Youth Project We are a registered charity, creating opportunities, developing life skills and supporting young people in a fun, safe environment.

Priority Youth are a team of dedicated youth workers, volunteers and board members who live and work in the community, and have young people’s best interests at heart. We are a registered charity, and we are currently working with over 400 young people in the wards of West Derby, Yew Tree, Knotty Ash and Old Swan. Our work is wide ranging offering not only detached youth work methodology as a basi

s to build relationships with young people, and develop programmes based around young people’s needs, but also delivering numerous activities and courses, supporting emotionally, offering guidance and advice, counselling, listening to what young people want, helping them to gain confidence and self-esteem, and have a voice in their community. As they get older we offer volunteering and employment opportunities, supporting them with C.V. writing, interview skills, references for jobs, and eventually into employment. We aim to give young people the best opportunities in life, and amazing memories which they can keep forever.

Huge thank you to Montirex for inviting us to the launch of the Montirex Foundation today.

Founded by 2 local Liverpool lads Daniel Yuen and Kieran Riddell-Austin, Montirex was a dream that turned into reality, becoming one of the UK's fastest growing sports brands, and worn by most of our young people!

Highlighting the importance of men’s mental health awareness, and the power of speaking out and supporting each other, was an inspiring and powerful panel featuring Leon Edwards, Mick Conlan, Kurtis Campbell, and Sonny Walker, hosted brilliantly by Fenners from Soccer AM.

Presentations from James's Place and Open Door were informative and emotional, and highlighted positive steps forward in mental health support.

Thanks to Mr Long Arms for the selfie πŸ’ͺ🏼🀣

AND two more homegrown role models, who have made Liverpool proud after completing and winning 🌎 boss to meet you both today, we look forward to hearing about your next adventures .burman & πŸ’™πŸ’™

The past two weeks have been full of sunshine β˜€οΈ

We’ve celebrated Earth Day, built forts with recycling, enjoyed parachute games, rounders and spent time potting flowers and getting hands-on in nature πŸŒπŸŒ±πŸ’š

A very busy night at Springfield Park! This is what detached youth work looks like πŸ‘€

Heading out in our mobile bus to meet young people in their own spaces. Filled with lots of snacks, music and listening ears, a safe place to just be themselves.

Using sport and activities to bring them together and build positive connections. ⚽️

🐴✨ What a fabulous day at Gellings stables!

Our young people had the opportunity to learn how to ride and, more importantly, how to care for the horses too. From grooming and feeding to making sure they had cosy new haybeds and fresh water, it was a hands-on wholesome day full of learning and enjoyment.

And lucky for us, the sun was out too! β˜€οΈ

Proud of everyone for getting stuck in, building confidence, and showing such kindness to all the animals πŸ’›

Thanks as always to Sheila, Debbie and our friends at Gellings 🫢🏼

We've been in full Easter mode this week! 🐰🐣

Project Easter Pensioner commenced today and our young people knocked on a lot of doors! All our pensioners received a gift bag with Daffodil plants and an Easter Egg, and in return we got lots of smiles πŸ₯°
It was heartwarming for our young people to be able to chat away to all the lovely residents and give something back in the community ❀️

All our young people on the sessions and trips have received an Easter Egg, and enjoyed Easter themed arts and crafts and activities.

Thanks again to Keco Energy for their generous donation of 300 eggs 😍

Happy Easter from all of us at Priority Youth!!! 🐰🐣
