💦👶 NEW! Baby Swim at Beautiful New Beginnings 💙

We’re so excited to introduce our new fully funded Baby Swim sessions, created for little ones aged 8 weeks to 12 months and their parent or carer. These gentle sessions are about so much more than learning to swim. They’re a chance to build water confidence, enjoy special time together and introduce your baby to the water in a calm, supportive environment.

With a beautifully warm pool, low-level lighting and small groups, sessions will include songs, splashing, water play and gentle early swimming skills, while supporting parents and carers to feel confident safely holding and supporting their baby in the water. No previous baby-swimming experience is needed.

⏰ 18:00-8:30 at Birtenshaw School, 82 Higher Lane, Fazakerley, Liverpool L9 7AB
✨ Fully funded and FREE to attend
👶 Suitable for babies 8 weeks–12 months

🌈 Why is inclusive physical activity so important for children?

Being active isn't just about fitness. For children, physical activity can support so many areas of their development and creating opportunities where every child feels welcome to participate matters.

Inclusive sport can help children to:

⚽ Build confidence: trying something new and experiencing success can help children believe in what they can do.

🤝 Develop social skills: games create opportunities to communicate, cooperate, take turns and work as part of a team.

🧠 Support emotional wellbeing: movement can be a positive way to release energy, have fun and support mood.

💪 Develop physical skills: running, throwing, catching, balancing and moving in different ways all help children develop coordination and physical confidence - all the fundamental movements.

🌟 Feel a sense of belonging: perhaps most importantly, inclusive activities can show children that there is a place for them, exactly as they are.

This is the reason why we put so much effort into running our Inclusivity Sessions each Saturday morning - we want to provide local young people with this opportunity to be involved, grow and develop physically, socially and emotionally. Inclusive physical activity isn't about making every child do the same thing. It's about creating opportunities for every child to take part in a way that works for them. 💚

Because every child deserves the chance to move, play, have fun and feel included. 🌈

🏃‍♀️⚽🏀 Saturday mornings at Bright Park! 💚

Every Saturday, Bright Park comes alive with our Inclusive Children’s Multi-Sports sessions, a chance for children to get active, try different activities, have fun and spend time together.

A huge thank you to SJ Fitness for delivering these fantastic sessions and to Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership for funding this opportunity and helping make inclusive physical activity accessible to local children.

We’re so grateful to everyone involved in making these sessions happen each week. 💚 Oh, and a massive thank you to all of you lovely people who are selling out all of our spaces each week! Its been wonderful to see🙌

🧸 Why is Stay & Play so important and what are the benefits?

It might look like children are simply playing, but underneath the play, some pretty important things are happening.

Play allows children to explore movement, problem-solving, imagination, coordination and cause-and-effect in a way that feels natural to them.
