ADDvanced Solutions Community Network is an open access offer that supports the emotional health and wellbeing of neurodivergent children and young people, their families and the professionals that work with them, across Cheshire and Merseyside. ADDvanced Solutions Community Network provides information, advice and guidance for the families of neurodiverse children and young people, increasing their understanding of the conditions, including Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Fragile X. Families often need additional support around education including special educational needs and disability support, speech, language and communication difficulties and associated metal health needs. We aim to support and empower families by delivering community based learning, coaching and mentoring, and health and wellbeing activities, right at the heart of communities through our solution focused drop in sessions and workshops across the North West. Help Shape Short Breaks Services in Liverpool

Liverpool City Council’s Short Breaks Service would like to invite parents and carers to an interactive consultation and co-production event focused on reviewing and transforming local short breaks services.

Every child and young person with a disability has the right to inclusive, high-quality short breaks.

The session will bring together parents, carers and key services such as Fusion Short Breaks and Barnardos to look at current provision. We will also be inviting services who do not currently provide a service in Liverpool, but who would like to expand their service offer to our children and young people.

Together we want to evaluate what is working well, identify gaps in after school, weekend and holiday activities and co-produce a stronger, more accessible offer that gives parents a vital rest while ensuring children have the opportunity to enjoy fun activities and have safe experiences.

Your lived experience is vital to helping us improve after-school, weekend and holiday activities.

We invite you to come and share what works, what is missing and how we can make services more accessible and to build a stronger offer together.

Our Autism Learning Programme in Litherland will now be across 3 Tuesdays beginning on 29th September.

For Sefton and Liverpool families whose child is under 11 and has a diagnosis of Autism (or subject to availability) if you are on the pathway awaiting an autism assessment.

This week is National Inclusion Week, an opportunity to think about our own practice and how we might make it more inclusive. ADDvanced Solutions Community Network are commissioned by NHS Cheshire and Merseyside to offer free Neurodiversity Awareness Raising Training to anyone working with local children, young people and families.
This one day training is CPD accredited and will enable you to:
Understand the differences and similarities between ADHD, autism, and other ND conditions
Recognise typical characteristics and presentations of these conditions.
Understand the impact that sensory processing difficulties can have.
Develop strategies to support and engage with neurodivergent children and young people and their families.
Dates are:
