JUNE JOG-A-THON

On June 1st we will be handing out sponsorship forms for the kids to get involved with the June Jog-a-thon - please do let us know if you need a new form!

Kids will be able to pick a 10 or 20 mile challenge over the month of June and get sponsorship for that.

School will be encouraging 1/2 and 1 mile runs in PE or play times to get some of this ticked off.

A great thing to do with your children, and walking is great too.

At the end of June we ask all sponsorship money to be transferred online or do as you get it and keep a tally.

Prize for the most sponsorship raised.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day 💙

But awareness means different things to different people.

For some, autism is a child who sees the world in unique and brilliant ways — building, creating, and thinking beyond what we might expect.

For others, it can mean navigating real daily challenges — where a child may be struggling, unwell, or needing additional support that isn’t always visible.

These experiences are not the same, but both are valid. One calls for understanding and acceptance. The other calls for support and answers.

At Friends of Lewknor School, we stand with all those affected by autism — celebrating every child for who they are, while recognising the very real challenges some families face.

We are committed to making our events as inclusive and welcoming as possible for everyone in our community. If you ever have suggestions or ideas that could help us do this better, please don’t hesitate to get in touch — we would truly love to hear from you.

Children are invited to come to school in their own clothes. A £1 donation is requested to take part. Donations can be made either in cash or by using the QR code on the school gate. If paying via the QR code, please reference your child’s initials.
