🫧🌍 Bertie’s Sunday Bubble Challenge is officially here.

Today, thousands of us across the world are standing together for Bubbles for Bladder Cancer.

Today is about community. We are blowing bubbles to remember those we have lost to bladder cancer, to stand with those currently undergoing treatment, to celebrate our incredible bladder cancer survivors, and to honour everyone whose lives have been impacted by this disease.

Our floating bubbles are also a powerful reminder to look more closely at our health. Bubbles can play tricks on the eyes, just like bladder cancer symptoms. What you might think is just a routine, recurring UTI or a minor change could be something else entirely. We want to smash the taboos, break down the barriers to seeking medical advice, and get people diagnosed earlier.

📸 Don't forget to take pictures and videos! Share them on your socials today to help us flood the internet with awareness.

Drop your bubble photos in the comments below, post them on your timeline, and tag us so we can see the incredible community in action! If you can, please consider making a donation to Fight Bladder Cancer today to help us continue our essential work.

We’ve loved seeing the array of orange activities across Scotland this May! So as we approach our final few days of , let’s take a moment to celebrate some of the amazing people and events who have made this BCAM something to shout about 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿📣

Well done to nurse Tanya for taking on the Edinburgh 10k and for all of her valuable work supporting bladder cancer patients. She makes a huge difference to people’s lives every day and we are so grateful for her kindness👏🧡

Thank you to the wonderful Catherine for completing the Edinburgh Half-Marathon - her personal experience with bladder cancer inspired her to fundraise so that others could receive the same help and care that she did. We are so pleased to share that she is now cancer free! 🫶

To every single person who took part in either the Edinburgh and Falkland Wee Walk: thank you for painting the streets orange, for bouncing outside The Scottish Parliament building and for raising awareness around these iconic landmarks 🙌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thank you to Kathleen for organising the orange lighting of the iconic Ness Bridge once again, letting everyone facing bladder cancer know they are not alone🧡

And a special thank you to Dorothy, Don and Professor Param for keeping the FBC momentum going all year round!

Every walk, run, donation and display of support has made a real difference, we are so grateful to everyone in Scotland for standing with us this May 💙🧡

When you ask, we listen! Introducing our new All-In-One Master Poster! 🌶️🌱💧

We love working closely with our supporters, and recently, a fantastic company reached out to us with a request. They wanted to put our life-saving campaign up in their staff bathrooms, but they only had space for one frame. They asked if we could combine Bertie, the Chilli Sisters, Rory, and our hydration chart into one master poster.

We thought: If they need this, we bet many other offices, community halls, gyms, and local pubs do too!

So here it is! Our brand-new All-In-One PeeAware Master Poster is ready for action.

It tells you everything you need to know the moment you :

✅ Are you properly hydrated today? (Check the colour chart!)
✅ Is that burning sensation or "recurrent UTI" actually something else?
✅ Are you running to the loo way too often?
✅ The golden rule: If you see red, pink, orange, or brown p*e, even just once, call your GP or 111.

Bladder health shouldn't be taboo, especially at work. We want to get this poster onto the back of every toilet door in the UK!

Do you own a local business? Manage a community hub? Or want to hand this to your HR manager at work tomorrow?

👇 Download your free copy right here, print it out, and help us save lives: https://www.p*eaware.org

Feeling tired, irritable, or having a stubborn headache today? ☀️🌡️

The weather out there is absolutely gorgeous, but this intense heat means our bodies are working overtime to stay cool. Today, Bertie the Beetroot is stepping in with a vital reminder to check in on yourself and your loved ones.

Dehydration creeps up on us quickly. It can cause daytime fatigue, ruin your concentration, and leave you feeling completely drained.

Are you or your kids showing any of these classic signs of dehydration?
🔹 Dry lips or dry skin
🔹 Headaches or feeling dizzy
🔹 Lethargy and low energy
🔹 Feeling unusually irritable
🔹 Being intensely thirsty
🔹 Dark, discoloured p*e (or not needing to go at all!)

The easiest way to check your health today is simple: Look Down. We’ve created a brand-new Hydration Poster that you can download right now. Stick it on the back of the loo door at home, at work, or at your local club to keep everyone safe in the sun.

Remember, we want to see pale, healthy, straw-coloured p*e today! If it’s dark, grab a glass of water. If you ever see a splash of red or pink, don't blame the heat; get it checked by a doctor.

Going somewhere nice for the hot Bank Holiday? Keep your eyes p*eled! 🕶️☀️

The sun is shining, the bags are packed, and the Bank Holiday weekend is officially here! Whether you're heading to the coast, catching a train, or firing up a backyard BBQ, we want to wish you all a safe and happy weekend.

Because so many people are out and about, our characters have gone on tour, too! 🗺️

We’ve rolled out posters and digital screens across travel hubs and service stations "in the wild." If you stop for a stretch or head to the loo and spot Bertie the Beetroot, the Chilli Sisters (Clara and Chloe) and Rory the Runner Bean looking back at you, we want to know!

📸 Your Bank Holiday Mission: Snap a photo of any of our awareness posters or digital screens you see this weekend, drop it in the comments below, and tell us where you spotted it!

Most importantly, please stay safe in this gorgeous, hot weather. Keep a bottle of water handy, stay beautifully hydrated, and whenever you visit the loo, don't forget to . 🧡

Have a wonderful, safe long weekend, everyone!

We’re over halfway through Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, and we are so happy to celebrate such an array of activities across May! Check out this incredible trio of fundraisers who took on a 5k inflatable race course to help us fight bladder cancer, and had an amazing time doing so! 🫶

A huge shoutout to Amber, alongside her amazing friends Ava and Olivia, for taking on this course in support of Amber’s dad, who is currently facing his own fight. 🧡 Thank you all for turning your support, friendship and determination into something so positive for everyone affected by bladder cancer.

This is a reminder that you don’t have to fundraise alone! Whether it’s with friends, family, teammates or colleagues, taking on a challenge together can make it even more meaningful (and more fun 🤩💪). If you’d like to sign up as a group, we’d love to support your fundraising journey. Reach out to [email protected] 🫶

Ladies, let's talk about "the burn." 🌶️🔥

How many times have you or a friend shrugged off an uncomfortable trip to the loo with: "Oh, it’s just a bit of cystitis, I’ll just drink some cranberry juice"?

We are conditioned to push through everyday discomfort. But today, the Chilli Sisters are here to give you a vital reality check.

Bladder cancer doesn't care how busy you are. In women, its symptoms, stinging when you p*e, irritation, or needing to rush to the toilet, look exactly like a standard Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). Because of this, women are far more likely to get misdiagnosed, sent home with multiple rounds of antibiotics, and ultimately diagnosed with bladder cancer much later down the line.

The Chilli Sisters Rule: If it stings, if it burns, or if you feel like you constantly have a UTI that just won't clear up, don't ignore it. It’s time to go back to your GP and ask: "Could this be anything else?"

Tag a sister, a mother, a daughter, or a friend who needs to see this today. Let's look out for each other and keep the women in our lives . 🧡
