When I decided to do some walking and raise money for a charity, I never thought it would end up like this ,
Walking is my go to activity, the best anti depressant which works for me.
I found Men Walk Talk when looking for a charity, mens mental health and walking (brilliant)
So my daughter set me up with a page both personal and Walk 180 Miles with Lee , I picked four challenges I could easily access and then started training.
When I look back now over the last year and think ,
I've told my own story, I've met and talked to people who have had their own stories to tell , I've had the most fantastic support from people who I've done work for , people I used to work with , people who I haven't seen for years , people I met on holiday and not forgetting family and friends , I had someone give a donation when leaving at local shop ,
I hope together we have raised awareness into mental health , and help a great charity with some money .
I will confess while doing the challenges, I fell over SIX times (all very embarrassing), but looking back despite complaining at the time I enjoyed all 180 miles.
But I would just like to say a massive thank you for all the support you have given me , I've made some new friends and learnt so much,
I'll leave the page going and will post some walks I do over the winter,
Next year maybe a bit quieter but 2026 I might go again with different challenges,
Thanks again for all your support
Money raised £1305 plus £257:50 gift aid
Total £1562:50 thank you so much
