1,200 Toy Boxes packed. Thousands of smiles on their way. 💛

This Wednesday, 26th August, we were delighted to join the incredible Hasbro team in Newport for a very special Toy Box Packing Day, where together we packed 1,200 Toy Boxes for children supported by KidsOut.

Each box represents so much more than toys. For a child arriving in refuge after fleeing domestic abuse, a Toy Box can provide comfort, encourage play, support emotional wellbeing and help create a sense of normality during an incredibly difficult time.

This packing day is also a celebration of an amazing partnership. Hasbro and KidsOut have been working together for over 14 years, and we're incredibly proud that this relationship continues to grow. Earlier this year, Hasbro confirmed another year of support, bringing with it volunteering, Toy Box packing, refuge projects, Christmas giving and exciting opportunities to create even more moments of joy for children across the UK.

A huge thank you to every member of the Hasbro Newport team who gave their time, energy and enthusiasm to make Wednesday such a success. Your hands-on support will make a real difference to children when they need it most.
Here's to another year of partnership, compassion and creating fun and happiness together. 💛

We would like to say thank you to all those who kindly donated to our summer campaign “One More Ticket” 🎟️

Thanks to your kindness, more children living in refuge were able to enjoy fun days out this summer and create happy memories they can carry with them for a lifetime.

For children who have experienced domestic abuse, a trip to the cinema, bowling, the zoo, the seaside, or a theme park is so much more than a day out.

It is a chance to laugh.
A chance to feel included.
A chance to enjoy childhood and have a story to share when they return to school.

To everyone who donated, shared, supported or helped make this campaign possible - you helped give children who have been through so much something truly priceless: a happy summer memory.

Once again, thank you ❤️

On Saturday 12 September a fantastic group of KidsOut supporters will take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks; tackling Pen y Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in one demanding day.

They’re taking on the challenge to raise vital funds for KidsOut to enable us to continue to support children through providing fun days out, experiences and brand new toys for children and young people living in refuge after fleeing domestic abuse.

It’s going to take determination, teamwork and resilience, but they’ll be taking on every mile for the children and young people who are at the heart of KidsOut ❤️

We’ll be sharing more as the big day gets closer so keep an eye out and help us get behind Team KidsOut! 😊

With the school holidays coming to an end, so is our One More Ticket campaign for this year.

This is your last chance to help create a happy memory for a child in refuge before they go back to school.

By making a donation to KidsOut’s One More Ticket campaign, you can help a child who has fled domestic abuse experience a fun day out - like a trip to the cinema to watch a film that their friends have seen or enjoy a day at the zoo or the beach 📽️🦁☀️

Our fun days out give children something exciting to look forward to and remember 😊

Today, on International Youth Day, we celebrate the strength, resilience and potential of young people everywhere 🌎

For thousands of young people affected by domestic abuse, life can change in an instant. They may leave behind their home, school, friends and everything familiar as they flee to safety with their parent or carer.

At KidsOut, we believe that what happens next matters.

Whether it’s providing age-appropriate gifts, laptops to help them stay in education, unforgettable experiences that create happy memories, or ensuring they have something special to open at Christmas, we’re here to help young people look beyond their circumstances and towards a brighter future.

Every young person deserves to feel valued.
Every young person deserves opportunities.
Every young person deserves hope.

Together, we can help them rebuild their confidence, realise their potential and look forward to the future they deserve.

Happy International Youth Day 😊

We would like to say a huge thank you to The Heathland School, Hounslow, for choosing KidsOut as their chosen charity partner and raising an incredible £1,900 towards providing children living in women’s refuges in London, with a memorable fun day out.

We're especially grateful to our Ambassador, Ashan Khehra, who during his time as Head Boy at the school, championed KidsOut and helped the school select us as its charity partner.

Ashan, who founded his own summer event in 2025: Reach for the Stars, to provide children in refuges living near his school with a fun day out during the school summer holidays, wanted his event to form part of KidsOut’s One More Ticket campaign this year.

We would like to thank every student, teacher, and parent, who has made this very special day possible.

This September, many children living in refuge will return to school without a holiday memory to share. After fleeing domestic abuse, they often have nothing but the clothes they're wearing and find themselves moved many miles away from friends and stripped of the normality that other children enjoy 😢

When you're buying tickets for days out this summer, could you buy one more by making a donation to KidsOut?

By donating the equivalent of one extra ticket, you can help give a child living in refuge the chance to enjoy a special day, make happy memories, and embrace the carefree moments every child deserves.

For children fleeing domestic abuse, these experiences can provide moments of joy, confidence and normality during an incredibly difficult time.

Whether you're supporting as an individual or encouraging colleagues to get involved at work, your support can help create memories that last far beyond the school holidays ☺️

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our Patron, Kevin Keegan.

For more than a decade, Kevin gave his time so generously to support KidsOut, attending our fundraising events and our Question of Sport evenings with his trademark warmth, humour and enthusiasm.

He never failed to bring smiles to those around him and was a passionate supporter of our mission to bring joy and happiness to disadvantaged children.

Kevin's kindness, generosity and unwavering support made a lasting difference to our charity and we will always be grateful for the encouragement he gave us over the years.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Kevin's family, friends and everyone whose lives he touched.

Thank you, Kevin, for your friendship, your compassion and your belief in what we do. Your legacy will live on in the countless children whose lives have been brighter because of your support.

Rest in peace 💙

A huge well done to New Tupton Ivanhoe under 9’s Black football team, who completed their walk from the New Tupton Ivanhoe FC ground to the SMH Group Stadium and back again in yesterday's extreme heat! 🥵

The team took on the challenge to raise funds for their new away kit and, incredibly, have chosen to donate any money raised above their target to KidsOut 😊

Their fundraising page will remain open for one more week, so if you'd like to support this fantastic team and help make a difference for children living in refuge after fleeing domestic abuse, there's still time to donate.

Thank you to all of the players, parents, coaches and everyone who has supported the team. Your kindness will help KidsOut continue providing fun days out, toy boxes and experiences that create happy memories for children when they need them most ❤️
