This special annual event takes place at the Royal Albert Hall and gives members the opportunity to be part of one of the Legion’s most moving acts of remembrance.

Pictures Leighton Buzzard marks 15th anniversary of the end of the Iraq War

One of our branch members, Matt Bambrook, will be joining four friends on a charity walk from Birmingham to Leighton Buzzard, raising money for Help for Heroes.

They'll be covering an epic 80 miles over several days, pushing themselves physically and mentally to support veterans and service personnel who have sacrificed so much for our country.

On Friday, veterans, serving Armed Forces personnel, families and members of the community came together to mark the 15th anniversary of the end of the Iraq War, known as Operation TELIC.

Led by the Royal British Legion Leighton Buzzard Branch, commemorations were held at Memorial Gardens, Linslade, and Church Square, Leighton Buzzard.

We remembered the 179 British service personnel and Ministry of Defence civilians who lost their lives, and all those whose lives were changed forever.

THANK YOU to everyone who attended, supported, took part, or stood quietly in remembrance.

We will remember them ❤️

We're holding two short services to commemorate 15 years since the end of the Iraq War (Op TELIC).

REMINDER: End of Iraq War Services, this Friday.

We hope to see members of our community, both veterans, their families and members of the public, come together to commemorate 15 years since the end of British forces activities in Iraq.

This is an important anniversary for many in our veteran network.
