Leighton-Linslade Helpers It very quickly grew into an organisation that is continuing to support its community by forming a charity.

Leighton Linslade Helpers is a collective of community volunteers who came together to support their community through the Covid 19 lockdown in their town and surrounding areas. (1196332)

What started off as an emergency food bank to those in hardship or those shielding, without access to food, has grown into a range of services, from food parcels, community fridge, prescription deliveries, couns

elling and listening, to many other ways of supporting families, the elderly and the isolated. We are now established in Leighton Buzzard High Street and will continue to support our community, other agencies and wider Bedfordshire. Our group has been overwhelmed by the generosity of people and business, during this very difficult time for everyone, and we just know that this community spirit will continue. There is still much work to be done to help our community get through this pandemic and to rebuild their lives and lift their spirits, for which so many will be grateful. CONTACT

Thanks to a huge contribution from the local community during our 3 day event at Tesco Vimy Road, our volunteers have spent today unpacking 59 crates of food into our foodbank. Thank you everyone who donated, and to Tesco Leighton Buzzard & to for organising the event. Thats our January 2026 parcels taken care of. 😊

🎁 Spread the Joy: Our Annual Christmas Food Bank Collection! 🎄

As the Christmas holidays approach, our thoughts turn to the spirit of giving. The Society and Religion Department is once again organizing our annual collection to support those in need in our local community.

We are collecting essential items and festive treats to be split between:
Wing Church Foodbank: Supporting Milton Keynes Foodbank and local families.
Leighton Linslade Helpers: Running a community fridge and providing food parcels in the surrounding area.
We are always so proud and touched by the incredible generosity of our school community! ❤️

What We Are Collecting:
We are asking for donations of non-perishable foods and personal hygiene items.

Here are the items local food banks are currently requesting:
🧃Breakfast & Drinks: Breakfast Cereals, Long Life Juice and Milk, Tea, Coffee, and Sugar.
🥫Tinned Goods: Tinned vegetables, tomatoes, tuna, meat, and puddings.
Staples: Pasta Sauce, Rice and Pasta, Custard.
🪥 Hygiene: Feminine Hygiene products, Personal hygiene products (deodorant, toothpaste, shower gel).
🍼 Baby Needs: Nappies and formula.

Special Request: Festive Treats!
To reflect the message of love and generosity at this time, we would also love to collect sweet treats! If you are able, please consider donating a:
🍫 Chocolate selection box
🍬 Festive treat

This will help bring a little extra joy to families who might otherwise struggle over the holidays.

How to Donate:
Please send your donations to school with your child. They can drop them off in one of two ways:
🎁 Main School Reception
🎁 Their Form Tutor (during tutor time)
