| We are continuing to support a national campaign that focuses on encouraging victims and survivors of child sexual abuse and exploitation to reach out for support.

We understand that it can take many years for someone to process the abuse or exploitation that they have experienced, and we know how important it is for victims to feel heard, safe and supported, even if you are unsure or not quite ready to pursue a full investigation.

Last month a 37-year-old man from Luton pleaded guilty to several child sexual offences, including r**e, sexual assault, taking and making indecent images of children and causing or citing a child to engage in sexual activity.

The young victims he targeted lived not just in Bedfordshire but other counties too.

Our specialist teams carry out many investigations like this one and have successfully brought many perpetrators to justice, whilst ensuring the victim has the support they need.

It’s never too late to speak out. When you are ready, our officers are there to listen and your voice will be heard.
