Here at Wing View we are wishing a fond farewell to our lovely carer Cherry as she sets off to University to study adult nursing.

While we and all the residents are sad to see her go, we are proud and grateful for all the care, kindness and dedication she has shown to everyone here.

Gail and the team wish her all the best in her studies.

A huge thank you from the Team at Wing View Care Centre and to those who donated to the 45-hole Golf Challenge.

Simon, Nick, Tim and Phil braved the heat on one of the hottest days this year to fundraise for OSJCT. All four men are affected by loved ones living with dementia and Simon’s father lives at Wing View.

They’ve raised £1680 by playing golf over 12 ½ hours and walked over 36km. They were supported by Wing View Team members, Cathy Charles and Jane Savage for the last nine holes.

✨ A very special day at Wing View Care Centre! ✨

Wing View Care Centre was delighted to welcome His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Countess Howe, for the official opening of our newly refurbished care home — a wonderful milestone for residents, families, colleagues and the wider community. 💛

Held on Wednesday 5 August, the celebration brought together residents, team members and senior leaders from The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT) to mark the occasion.

During her visit, Lady Howe toured the home, spending time with residents and colleagues and discovering more about life at Wing View. She also unveiled a commemorative plaque to officially mark the opening.
Speaking at the opening, Lady Howe said: “It is a great pleasure to officially open Wing View Care Centre. I have enjoyed meeting residents and team members, and I have been impressed by the warmth, kindness and sense of community that is so evident throughout the home."

Resident Representative Clive Hamblet also had the pleasure of meeting Lady Howe and presenting her with a gift. He said: “It’s not every day that you get to welcome His Majesty’s representative into your home, so I was very pleased to chat with the Lord-Lieutenant. I love it here.”
