Term’s restarting.
Life’s getting busy again.
And your child is back at Scouts.

Parents… let’s be honest.

You’re not running errands during section night.
You’re in the car.
Scrolling.
Enjoying the silence.
Calling it “me time.”

We respect that.

But just so you know… inside the Scout hut there’s:
☕ hot tea
🍪 the odd biscuit
💬 grown-up conversation
👋 other adults doing their best

Volunteering at Scouts isn’t about uniforms or knots.
It’s about:
•⁠ ⁠escaping the house
•⁠ ⁠talking about things that aren’t Minecraft
•⁠ ⁠laughing more than you planned to

So come inside.
Stay dry.
Feel useful.
Have fun.

Scouts needs you.
(And your car will still be there after)

Following on from our post a few weeks ago, we repaired the vents this morning and have just stopped two teens, one in a white tracksuit and one in a black tracksuit both with drawstring bags, breaking them off again. If you recognise either if these as your child please have a word with them about vandalising a community building.

We have re-notified the police

We are busy getting ready to start Scouts after the summer holidays and have found our building to have been subjected to vandalism and damage. We have been at this location for many years and this is the first time damage has been done to the building. We will be passing this on to Thames Valley Police.

If you are up on Ivinghoe Lawn and see people messing around by the hut, please can you let us know via this page.

Windmill Cub pack had a suprise visit from the District Lead Volunteer this evening.

This week, it was a real pleasure to present a Commendation Award to Dan, Ben, and Erin from 1st Ivinghoe and Pitstone Cubs

The award was prompted by heartfelt feedback from a parent, who shared how the team’s compassion, dedication, and inclusive leadership have made a lasting difference in their child’s Scouting journey — creating a space where every Cub can thrive
