Burley Park Wassail 🍏🌦🍻 thanks to Friends of Burley Park for inviting us to dance a few spots and lead the procession around their two lovely orchards. We enjoyed a good sing and everyone's lanterns were delightful! The rain came out on good form too, giving the trees a good drink 🌧

We can't wait to dance in Saltaire next Saturday!

Update: storm Amy can't stop us Rainbows, but as a result of torrential rain we will be forced to dance as and when the rain stops! Join us next Saturday, 4th October, as we celebrate our 35th anniversary!!!!! 8 dance teams including Leeds Morris Men, 400 Roses and t'Thorns, The Buttercross Belles, Hebden Bridge Hill Millies, Briggate Morris Wharfedale Wayzgoose Border Morris & Roll back the Carpet will descend on Saltaire for a day packed with fun and frivolity!!! See you there folks 🙂

WARNING: Fast-moving morris dancers expected to be on the loose in Horsforth tomorrow ⚠️

Reminder that tomorrow evening (Mon 15th) is our Heritage Open Day! Come along and experience some Northwest clog dancing and traditional tunes (+ have a go if you like!) You'll also have the opportunity to explore the beautiful Central Methodist Church and learn a little about its history, all while enjoying some tea and homemade cake.

Free entry, we hope to see you there from 6.45pm 👋

🎻 When they're not keeping the dancers in line, most of our musicians perform in the fabulous Hands Across Ceilidh Band, with the legendary Rob Baker doing the calling 🪗

In just over a month, they're doing a ceilidh at Whitkirk Community Hall, which anyone is welcome to attend! 18th October, 7-10.30pm. Tickets are available in advance and include a hot meal - sounds like basically the perfect evening 🕺💃

We've got some great events coming up this autumn 🍂

First up - Heritage Open Day!

Come and join us on Monday 15th September at Horsforth Central Methodist Chapel for a relaxed evening of music, dance, a bit of history, and of course tea and refreshments! 🫖 Enjoy some Northwest clog to live music played on traditional instruments, and also learn a bit about the dance and some local history

You can simply listen to the music and watch the dancing, or try joining in if you like (don't worry, we'll show you how!)

You can also explore the history of the Chapel, and relax in their beautiful gardens and premises 🌼🌷
