In light of ‘Mental Health’ awareness week (14th May - 20th May 2018), we will be running informal group discussion workshops with the young people, as part of our older sessions (11 - 19 years old).
The purpose of these, is to raise awareness of mental health and the impact it can have upon a young persons life. We will be discussing points around how ‘it’s ok to not be ok’. How to talk to people if you are suffering with mental health problems and to raise awareness that mental health is not always seen. How friends can help each other and it’s ok to discuss.
This excellent short film below, from YouTube,
really highlights the issues some young people can face and how it’s not always easy to tell if someone is suffering with mental health problems.
