It’s the holiday season for some people, but that didn’t stop 6 of the Wednesday gang turning out for a warm litter pick along our old stomping grounds along Redcote Lane.
We filled more than 20 purple bags with litter, plus some glass bottles and a couple of sacks of cans for recycling. As always there were some nitrous oxide cyclinders and some larger items of fly-tipping. Quite a lot of Greggs wrapping in evidence today.
Thanks to Goals Leeds for a very welcome cuppa afterwards.

Another great effort by the Wednesday Gang this sunny morning, in a joint operation with the Beeston Womblers. There were about 14 or 15 of us in total.
We covered a stretch of the Ring Road Beeston from the M621 junction to the roundabout near the Sulzer plant. Not a great distance, but there was lots of litter. We have had a “No Mow May”, but there seems to have been a “No Mow April” here, with litter very difficult to see in the long grass.
We filled at least 46 purple bags, most of which were left in a big pile in the car park outside the B & Q store.
Thanks to Burger King UK for some very welcome drinks afterwards.
