I got a message a short while ago from a lovely lady needing some help. When we get requests like this we do our very best to help as we have lots of very experienced knitters & crocheters.
This is a fab success story. I have just received the most beautiful thank you & photos from the lady involved.

When my best friend’s mum sadly passed away, she left behind something incredibly special that we both wanted to see finished.
For years, she had a beautiful tradition of knitting a baby blanket whenever someone had a baby. Each blanket was made with so much love and care, and it became her special way of welcoming a new little life into the world. 🧶❤️
Sadly, she had started making a blanket for a very special baby but didn’t get the chance to finish it before she passed away.
For us, this blanket meant so much more than just a piece of knitting. It was something she had started with her own hands and her own love. We desperately wanted it finished so that the baby could have something made by their Great Nanna — something they could treasure and keep forever.
I reached out to Jo through the Hookers and Clickers group, and she very kindly put me in touch with Heather.
Not only did you take on the challenge of finishing a blanket that had been started by someone who was no longer here, but you put so much care and love into it. And then you went above and beyond and knitted some extra beautiful little things for the baby too. 🥹
We genuinely cannot thank you enough.
You helped us keep a very special tradition alive. Because of you, this baby will have the blanket their Great Nanna started for them, and one day we can tell them the story behind it — about how their Great Nanna always made a blanket for every new baby, how much this particular blanket meant to us, and how two incredibly kind strangers helped make sure it was finished.
