I’ve been so excited to announce this 🙌

Weekly Food Club is coming to St Chad’s in partnership with Eggcup 🤭

If you are interested in signing up, please send your name, address and telephone number to myself on the details below, or you can contact Eggcup directly on [email protected]. Alternatively you can pop in on a Monday afternoon to sign up for the following week 🥰

The cost will be £5 and will be run on an opt in service. You will receive a text to ask if you will be attending and you will need to reply yes or no to ensure enough food is brought.

As the summer months are approaching I would like to share an important app with the community.

It’s called Surfers Against Sewage

I’m currently trying to get the Crook O lune site registered so we can see any updates on water quality since this is an extremely popular swimming area during peak summer months.

As it stands Morecambe south is currently suffering with pollution from sewage that United Utilities allow , if you check the map lots of Cumbria is having the same issue

I highly recommend downloading the app and reporting any polluted sites and any sickness that has accrued after swimming in these areas .

After some feedback we have decided to move our meetings to Monday mornings again
9-10am St chads hall

Most meets are informal and once a month a more formal documented meeting is held

🌟 Ryelands Community Litter Pick 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped with today's litter pick!

We had a fantastic turnout, with so many young people wanting to get involved. It was amazing to see so many taking pride in our community and helping to make Ryelands a cleaner place for everyone.

We collected around 13 bags of rubbish between us all which is massive and the estate is looking really clean 🥰

After all the hard work, we enjoyed a play on the park before heading down to St Chad's for some well earned refreshments.

A special thank you to Skerton Community Centre for providing the sandwiches – they went down an absolute treat. 😋

Community spirit like this is what makes Ryelands special. ❤️

“The Ryelands team been so excited to share this news 😬 it’s took a long few years to get to this point and a lot of hard work there’s been a team of amazing people working so hard to get here 😁

We are now at the stage of Fundraising!! So we need you to throw all your ideas at us we need £150,000 🤭

I know it’s a-lot but we CAN do this !! With funding, sponsorship and fundraising events Ryelands Residents Community Group will raise the funds to have this amazing new play area built as they have asked and to suit all children of age and abilities in 2027 😁 !!!

& we have Jo from Tommies Place offering advice and support to parents of children who are currently not in school, awaiting an EHCP, or being home educated. 💬
