After 15 years of providing a wide variety of services to the wonderful community of the Lancaster District, it is with a heavy heart that the day has finally come when we to say goodbye and close our doors for good!

From training courses, to employment and training support, to Alternative Education provision, to sports outreach, to arts based interventions, to Criminal Justice Support, and to therapy we have always endeavoured to provide services which put our community members at the forefront of their engagement with ourselves...and we hope that we have served you well!

Personally I would like to thank all the staff, volunteers and students who have passed through our doors over the years and helped make us who we were and who we became! Top of that list is our co-founders Bernie Slater and Paul Ireland, as well as our non social media using stalwart Michael Fidler who without a doubt have been three of the most important influences in my working life!

A huge thank you also to Yak Patel for all your support and guidance and always being at the end of the phone when advice was needed!

It has been one hell of a journey, and we wish you all well for the future!

Strawberry Fields currently have a fantastic opportunity to support young people in their pursuit of education, training and employment opportunities.

We are able to meet partial or full costs towards;

- Vocational training courses
- Purchase of clothing to support job interviews
- Purchase of work clothing / tools
- Travel costs incurred to attend training courses / job interviews

This list is far from exhaustive and we are able to meet a wide variety of expenditure costs which would be deemed to benefit a young persons progression towards the job market.

These costs will be bespoke to the individual and would be agreed with staff.

Examples of the type of expenditure support recently met include, but are not limited to, the following;

- Purchase of specialised Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing
- Purchase of University guided reading lists
- Purchase of mobile phone to assist with access to Universal Credit portal and job search
- Purchase of tools for new apprentices
- Bus / train fares to attend job interviews

This is a unique support package that we are able to provide to any young person between the age of 16 to 24 who are living within an Lancaster District postcode.

Strawberry Fields are proud and grateful to have received 3 years funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.

These funds will ensure delivery for our 3P project, supporting those most in need with practical, psychoeducational and psychotherapy support within the district of Lancaster and Morecambe.
