We've been nominated! 🇬🇧🌹

The Pride in Lancashire awards recognise the people, groups, and organisations who go above and beyond to make Lancashire a better place to live.

We are so grateful! Our volunteers give their time to supporting the elderly, vulnerable, isolated and housebound people across the Lancaster district, through shopping, collecting prescriptions, delivering parcels, a friendly chat, a walk, or digital support.

Our Volunteers café is on TOMORROW (Monday 12th October), from 1- 4 PM! ☕🍰
This is a great way to connect with volunteers. Come and get some inside info and advice, share experiences and ask any questions. Come and join over some tea and cake and meet others in the team. 🤝

Today is and the theme this year is 'Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change!' 🌍🌎🌏
We remind ourselves: poor mental health doesn’t have the last word — compassion and connection do. 💚 It reminds us why good mental health is so important, and how we can prioritise it in our lives and communities. It’s also a moment to talk openly and listen to what others are experiencing. 🗣
Conversations about mental health make a difference. And they matter most when we listen to people’s experiences!👂
People's lived experience is one of our most powerful tools for improving mental health. By listening to those most at risk and acting on what they tell us, we can create a mentally healthier society. ❤
