Friends of Chernobyl's Children - Lancaster We are a national charity with a Lancaster branch since 2010.

FOCC brings needy children from areas of Belarus still contaminated by the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, to stay with host families in the UK for respite care. Friends of Chernobyl's Children - Lancaster brings children to stay with local host families for 4 weeks during June. The same child will start the programme aged 7 and visit their host families for 5 consecutive years. During the week we provid

e the children with an activity scheme, but evenings and weekends are spent with the hosts. The children receive dental treatment, eye tests, vitamins, warm clothes to take home but more importantly hope and love.

I thought it would be nice to start 2024 by sharing any current pictures of the children we have hosted since our group started in 2010.

I’ll start : this is Masha who we hosted from 2010-2015, she is now 19 years old and got married last year ❤️
