Do you fancy a nice stroll and a chat followed by some delicious refreshment? Can you help with the Fairfield Walk and Talk on the morning of Monday 26th October meeting upstairs at the Hall on China Street at 9 am?
The Walk and Talk introduces Linguistic students from the University to the Fairfield Association and the Nature Reserve.
For the students, who are mainly from overseas, it is an opportunity to practice their language skills in a different environment.
There is a helpful leaflet if you feel you need to know more either about the FA or the Nature Reserve but the most important part is being there to respond. They are not expecting a wildlife expert or a raconteur, just someone to answer simple questions in English.
The event finishes back at the Hall with coffee and cakes around 11.30. At the moment we are struggling to run the event after a couple of withdrawals so your help would be gratefully received!
