We’re excited to invite you to spend some ‘blossom time’ in our orchard on Saturday 2nd May 2026 - fingers crossed the blossom hangs on until then :). Orchard Blossom Day is a new annual celebration taking place across the UK and Europe encouraging people to appreciate what an important local resource orchards are for people and wildlife.

Six orchards across Lancaster will be open to visitors - and you’ll find more than just apple and pear trees. From grapes, feijoas and hops in Miss Whalley’s Field, to prickly ash in Scotch Quarry and medlars in Fairfield there’s something for everyone. If you’re feeling energetic, you could walk between all six orchards!

We invite you to bring a picnic and join others for a blossom picnic between midday and 2pm on Saturday 2nd May.

We hope this new day will be popular and will complement our apple day activities in September. If you’re interested in finding out more about heritage orchards or want to find other orchards nearby which will be open, take a look at www.orchardnetwork.org.uk

Look forward to seeing you on Saturday 2nd May in Fairfield's orchard, or visit all six orchards below!

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for between 2pm and 4pm on Easter Sunday, April 5th but we are in danger of having to cancel the event because so far only one person has stepped forward to help out. We still need volunteers on the day to help with the Egg Hunt stall and the refreshments. If you can help PLEASE contact Bethany and Katherine directly at:
