Lanark Community First Responders are a group of volunteers responding to emergency 999 calls along side the Scottish Ambulance Service

Lanark Community First Responders (CFR) are a group of volunteers dedicated to helping local people with immediately life threatening medical emergencies in partnership with the Scottish Ambulance Service.

🚨 Lanark Community First Responders Need Your Help! 🚨

Our dedicated volunteers are on call around the clock to provide lifesaving emergency care across Lanark, we are currently searching for a new base.

We are actively seeking a 24/7 standby facility to help our team respond to local emergencies as quickly and efficiently as possible please.

What we are looking for:
📍 Location: In or very close to Lanark
🔑 24/7 Access: A secure space our volunteers can use day or night
🔌 Basic Utilities: Access to power, heating and basic amenities.
🚗 Parking: Space for responder vehicles

Whether it’s an unused office space, a community hall annex, a secure unit or a spare room in a local business premises—if you have or know of a space that might fit the bill, we would love to hear from you!

A huge thank you to Lodge Hozier! 💙

Our volunteers are immensely grateful to the Right Worshipful Master and Members of Masonic Lodge Hozier, Douglas Water No 912 for their wonderful donation toward our latest community project!

This generous support will directly fund lifesaving training equipment for our recently launched Tracey Lammie Community Training Project, which aims to equip members of the public with vital skills in CPR, AED use and basic lifesaving awareness.

Without the ongoing support of local organisations, businesses and the public our volunteers simply couldn't provide these essential services to the towns and villages we serve.

We are thrilled to officially launch The Tracy Lammie Community Training Project!

This vital project is dedicated to supporting local community groups, educating and training their members in CPR, AED use and basic lifesaving awareness. 🚑

We couldn't have taken this incredible first step without a phenomenal amount of support. A massive thank you to Steps of Hope Carluke and the Lammie family for their exceptionally generous donations. 🫶

Your contributions are going directly towards essential training equipment, allowing our volunteers to bring this lifesaving education right into the heart of our community.

🌹 Day of Reflection in Memory of Tracy Lammie 🌹

Today, we take a moment as a Lanark Community First Responders family, alongside our wider CFR colleagues, to reflect on the life and service of Tracy Lammie.

Tracy dedicated so much of her time to helping others, both as a valued Community First Responder and through her caring nature in her professional life and everyday acts of kindness. She touched the lives of so many across Lanark and beyond with her compassion, commitment, and selflessness.

Today is a day for us to pause, remember, and reflect on the difference Tracy made to our community and the many lives she impacted.

We invite those who knew Tracy, worked alongside her, or were touched by her kindness to join us in taking a quiet moment of reflection in her memory. 💜

Our thoughts remain with Tracy’s family, friends, colleagues, and everyone feeling this loss.

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. 🌹

We pay tribute to one of our former volunteer Community First Responders, Tracy, who sadly passed away earlier this week.

Tracy dedicated countless hours of her own time supporting the people of Lanark and the surrounding towns and villages. As a Community First Responder, she attended 999 calls on behalf of the Scottish Ambulance Service, providing lifesaving medical care to members of the public when they needed it most.

Her commitment to her community was recognised many times, including being awarded the Covid‑19 Response Coin for her service during the pandemic by the Scottish Ambulance Service Community Resilience .

Beyond responding to emergencies, Tracy was a passionate advocate for community CPR and AED awareness. She delivered numerous training and awareness sessions across Lanarkshire, empowering others with the skills and confidence to save lives.

Our volunteers send their deepest sympathies to Tracy’s family. She will be fondly remembered for her dedication, compassion, and unwavering service to her community. 🌹
