It’s an extremely sad day today as, earlier this week, the committee of the Cargill House Cafe announced that, after 56 years serving the community, they would be closing after today.
Since the renovation and reopening of the venue in 2013, and the incorporation of the cafe into the venue, we have witness firsthand, the tremendous care, kindness and attention the staff have given to all their customers. It’s difficult to imagine the venue without the daily buzz of the cafe… and of course, the Tuesday bingo sessions.
It’s obviously a difficult time for the staff and members but we’d like to extend our own thanks to all the cafe staff, including Linda, Nicola and Myra, who have made the cafe such a special place for so many people.
