Climate Cafe Kinross-shire is a community group with a focus on climate change.

We meet on the first Tuesday of the month in Loch Leven Campus Library at 7pm to listen to a guest speaker about a different aspect of climate change and discuss the topic.

Our Climate Cafe Kinross-shire meeting is tomorrow night, Tuesday 3rd November. We are having an informal meeting where one of our members will be talking about their eco house build. If you would like some hints/tips/advise on building your own home, or are just interested in house builds, please come along.
Please bring your own cups, we'll provide the tea, coffee and biscuits. Our meetings are free but we do ask for a small donation to put towards the library and our snack fund.

A screening of "People's Emergency Briefing-On the climate and nature crisis" will be at Milnathort Town Hall on Friday 13th November 2026.
7:30pm - 9:15pm, doors open at 7pm.

Free screening of the National Emergency Briefing film

The climate and nature crisis threatens all aspects of British life, from national security to the food supply, people should be trusted with the truth about major risks that affect their lives.
The film, presented by Chris Packham, aims to raise awareness and build public support for a government-led briefing introduced by the PM and delivered by independent experts.

Running Time 50 mins. After the film there will be a short open discussion including local resilience and what the film means for our community and what we can do locally.

Urge Perth and Kinross Councillors to use their powers to deliver better buses through public ownership.

We rely on our local bus services to travel around our communities, to get to work, to access education, to get to our appointments, and see our loved ones.

But one quarter of bus routes in this region were cut just last year.

Buses are a lifeline public service that private bus companies have shown they cannot be trusted to deliver.

There is a crucial vote on Wednesday 28th October where Perth and Kinross Councillors could take some local bus services back into public control.

Friends of the Earth have drafted an email that will be sent to key local councillors to demand they back public buses.

Greener Kinross-shire and Climate Cafe Kinross-shire are screening the National Emergency Briefing. The film will be followed by a open discussion as to what we can do in our community. We are inviting our local MSPs and Councillors.
Friday 13th November, 2026.

Here's some information about the emergency briefing:
Last November, the National Emergency Briefing laid out the threat and the positive economic and social opportunities arising from a commensurate response to the climate and nature crises, with presentations from nine of the UK’s top experts. The resulting People’s Emergency Briefing, a 50 minute film of that event, has already been shown, or is scheduled to be shown, along with facilitated discussion, at over 2,300 screening events in community, workplace and institutional settings across the UK. We believe these events have already reached more than 100,000 people, and that number is growing fast. Each of these events is a wake-up call that energises hope within
communities.
