Broke Not Broken were delighted to again be invited to Perth and Kinross Council ‘Bringing Hope and Building Futures’ event today where we, along with partners in the third and public sectors, had the opportunity to discuss and challenge the Council on their next Child Poverty Delivery Plan.

Would it shock you to hear that 1 in 5 children in Perth and Kinross live in poverty?

Would it shock you to know that 19% of children regularly skip a meal?

The councils commitment to not only listening to lived experience but embedding it into their next steps is essential in ensuring that NO CHILD in Perth and Kinross goes hungry.

This session brought together different agencies working in Kinross-shire so that we can build on our own and each others experiences to best make a positive impact for Kinross-shire through partnership working and collaboration.

A huge thank you to Kirsteen and the team at Kinross-shire Trishaws and Community Cycling https://ktacc.org.uk for organising to take out some of our ladies from the Women's Group. We all really appreciated the warm welcome, the effort you all put in and the chance to experience E-Bikes, E-Trikes and Trishaws. It was a great success and enjoyed by everyone.
