Kinross Cycling Club

Kinross Cycling Club Founded in March 2009, Kinross Cycling Club has grown quickly and currently sits at well over 100 members. But check our web site calendar.

We have a wide variety of riders, male and female ranging from senior cyclists in their 20s to veterans and supervets in their 40s, 50s and 60s. We welcome riders of all abilities; from those looking just to keep fit and have an amiable Sunday morning run with fellow cyclists, to those looking to compete in national and international sportives and take their first steps into Category 4 racing or S

CU time trials. We meet every Sunday morning (weather permitting) at Loch Leven Community Campus (Kinross High School). Rides normally start at 09:00 (summer time) and 09:30 (during the winter months). Depending on numbers and levels of fitness, we split into 2 or 3 groups for rides of 3-4 hours in the summer and 2-3 hours in the winter. During the lighter evenings, April to September we also meet on Thursday evenings at 18:45, and there are opportunities for other group rides or training throughout the year. We also have our very popular Grand Prix series of time trials and hill climbs which are keenly contested throughout the season. Kinross CC is also well known as organisers of the Sportive Kinross cyclosportive event run every April and club members get an advanced guaranteed entry to this sell out event as a benefit of membership. Many of our members used to cycle on their own, but now appreciate the company and extra fitness that riding with fellow cyclists can bring. We also have many members who have come from other sports and are looking for a new challenge. So if you are new to cycling and looking for some tips and company, or a keen cyclist wanting to be pushed in group riding, why not come along and give us a try.

Clothing choices… this time of year it can be shorts to winter longs day to day, and sometimes hour to hour! On the Sportive Kinross 2026 course we’ve even had sunburn and snow on the tops in the same year. The key is to be prepared; check the forecast and bring layers that can be adjusted before the start, at a feed station or an impromptu stop along the way.

We’ve, of course, put an order in for pleasant temperature, sun and a tailwind right round. Are you a shorts in all weathers kind of rider? Or are you the last to give up the second pair of socks, and the winter jacket? Either way we’ll warm you up or cool you down at Sportive Kinross next month.

A perfect way to celebrate International Women's Day 2026 🙌

A wonderful group. Sunshine and cake. Fancy joining us next time?

Kinross Cycling Club can proudly boast that our committee has equal gender representation, helping us strive towards equity and an increase in women memberships.

We are a welcoming club and as a committee we want all members to have riding opportunities that meet their needs; be it relaxed, coached, in a group or on your own, TT, race orientated, social or a bit quicker!

So get in touch, jump on your bike and come join us. We'll buddy you up with like minded riders so you feel at ease and welcome from day 1.

Give To Gain emphasizes the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organisations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase. Giving is not a subtraction, it's intentional multiplication. When women thrive, we all rise.

Supporting CHAS, and other local causes
In 15 years with your help we’ve raised over £117,000 for Children's Hospices Across Scotland. That’s not a drive for hands in pockets in addition to the entry fee (but you’re more than welcome to) - that is directly from entry fees and after costs!

We’ve also made many other smaller donations to local causes such as Broke Not Broken, Perth & Kinross Foodbank, and the Kinross Trishaws.

Join us and and help add to that in 2026.

Look at this! This year our memento is a beauty of a water bottle. Every rider gets a Sportive Kinross water bottle - a proper memento of the day.

And no, not a flimsy freebie. This is the M&S of water bottles. Translucent blue, multi-colour print, soft silicone stopper, and a solid 650ml for your favourite keep-going juice!

Come earn it.
Blue, Red, or Black routes.
