We are re launching Greener Kingsclere at the Repair Cafe on Sunday morning at the The Fieldgate Centre. The primary focus will be to initially improve the flow and ecology in the stream in the village (Gailey Brook). Some of the results from repair cafe today: Fixed: "scaletrix", sandwich toaster, LED outside light, hard drive, and a pressure washer was saved from the skip. Work in progress: dehumidifier, angle grinder. Unable to fix Bose sound system and another LED light. Next event March 8th, thanks to all the repairs and support crew.

The next repair cafe is the same day as the Kingsclere remembrance parade, we will be running Repair cafe as normal but will respect the minute silence and may run some extended hours incase not everyone can make it early due to the event and road closures.

One of our business repair cafe's today with two vacuum cleaners fixed, one clock, one wooden box, two lights , three clothing items , two megaphones (dont ask) also fixed. One toaster is well on the mend , some ceramic gluing went on, two hard drives being looked at, one electric fire, one electronic barometer and one charger unfortunately had to go to recycling but at least they go with having tried our best. Some one today also asked what is the biggest thing we have fixed which was a camper van (heater) we looked at and some advise on a dish washer which got it working again. Thanks also to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council for sponsoring our new PAT tester and thanks again to all the team of volunteers.

Repair cafe opens today at 10am, even if you don't have anything to repair we have EXTRA CAKE, left over from the sucessful race night at the The Fieldgate Centre centre last night. So if you are our for an autumnal walk or bike ride pop in for coffee and cake.
