βοΈ Its the Earl Rivers Regiment of Footeβs Annual 17th Century Day at Shaw House! βοΈ
πππ FREE ENTRY TO THE HOUSE, GARDENS & EVENT! πππ
π‘οΈβοΈ We have an action packed day lined up for you! Bring the whole family, we have something there for all ages!! βοΈπ‘οΈ
ποΈ Including a raffle to help raise the much needed vital funds to keep the regiment going for our educational displays, equipment upkeep and community outreach. ποΈ

βΌοΈ Tickets can only be sold on the day of the event, we are not able to pre-sell before the event. Tickets will be sold at Β£1 a strip, or 3 strips for Β£2. π©΅ βΌοΈ
π The timetable for the day is below. β°
Please note, we will do our best to keep the day running smoothly to these times. π
πΏπΉ 10am ~ Shaw House Gardens open. Drill practice for the army.
π₯π 11am ~ Living History opens in the house.
π―οΈ 11.30am ~ Rememberance Service.
πΆ π»12pm ~ Music and dancing starts upstairs in the house.
π¦πΌπ§π»12pm ~ Kidsβ Pike, followed by adults Pike demonstrations.
π₯ͺπ°π«βοΈ 12.30 ~ Break for lunch. Teas, coffees, sandwiches, cakes all available in the Coffee shop.

The food you will see being prepared by re-enactors will not be available for purchase or tested by the public.
You are very welcome to bring a picnic for the gardens (Weather depending) or the cafe has a wonderful selection of sandwiches & cake. π§ (Especially the Victoria Sponge π°)
π 1.45pm ~ A scenario in Living History in The Great Hall.
π‘οΈπ‘οΈ 2pm ~ Talk about Weapons & Armour
Also Sword practice/fighting & pike demonstrations.
βοΈ 2.30pm ~ The Second Battle of Newbury β Assault on Shaw House.
π£π₯ (PLEASE NOTE! Our Muskets will be firing. π₯
βΌοΈ People with sensitive hearing, we strongly recommend using ear defenders/protection, please also bear in mind if you plan to bring along your dog.) π π₯π£
βοΈ 3.30pm ~ Trial.
ποΈ 4pm ~ Raffle Draw. Tickets available to buy all day until 3.45pm.
π All demonstrations, battles etc will be outside unless advertised.
β¨ Earl Rivers Regiment is part of The Sealed Knot, who is Charity Registered. Money raised from the raffle, will go towards the running of the regiment. β¨
