Tickets are officially “going fast” for our Summer Concert with Afternoon Tea on 20 June! It’s action stations for the choir to get everything ready. As well as rehearsing some of our best loved music for the day, we are rolling up our sleeves and putting on pinnies to bake cakes, scones and cut sandwiches for your home made tea. Places are strictly limited for this special event so book early!

Far from being either “petite” or strictly “solemn”, the Petite Messe Solennelle is a captivating blend of drama, lyricism, and heartfelt devotion, offering listeners a richly rewarding and unique musical experience.

Join WCFC and two other choirs of the Hampshire Choral Festival for an unforgettable evening as a talented line-up of vocal soloists, chorus, pianist and harmonium player breathe life into this extraordinary score. From the exquisite “Kyrie” to the jubilant “Gloria”, each movement unveils a new layer of emotional and musical intensity, combining operatic colour with sacred reverence. Whether you are a seasoned concert-goer or new to choral music, Rossini’s masterpiece promises to delight and inspire.

We are celebrating over 100 years of Overton Choral Society and each ticket helps us raise funds to keep our choir in our community for another century and beyond. Additional donations on the day welcome.
