West Norfolk Community Transport & Shopmobility West Norfolk Community Transport is a Registered Charity (No. 1069180) founded in 1992.

West Norfolk Community Transport (WNCT) provides rural and urban transport solutions for people with mobility problems and for those who are unable to access Public Transport. WNCT also operates West Norfolk Shopmobility, providing hire of Mobility Scooters, Electric & Manual Wheelchairs from its site situated in the King's Lynn town centre.

With hot weather expected across West Norfolk over the next few days, we’re reminding everyone to take extra care and look after themselves and others. 💙

If you’re travelling with West Norfolk Community Transport, please remember:

💧 Bring plenty of water with you for the journey
🌳 Try to wait inside or in a shaded area where possible
🕒 Plan journeys avoiding the hottest parts of the day if you can.

We know our services are an important link for many people in our community — helping people stay connected, access appointments, shopping and social activities therefore all services will continue to run as normal.

Please also check in on family, friends and neighbours who may need a little extra support during the warmer weather.

Did you know you can hire mobility scooters and wheelchairs from our Dial-a-Bus office, located in St James Car Park, King's Lynn?

Whether you need a scooter for a couple of hours to enjoy a shopping trip in the town centre, meet friends for lunch, or attend an appointment, we've got you covered. We also offer longer-term hire, perfect for days out, family visits, holidays, and special occasions.

Our mobility hire service helps you stay independent, active, and connected to the people and places that matter most.

Following the government announcement last week regarding mileage allowance, our Community Car Scheme mileage rate will now be increasing to 55p per mile from Monday 1st June 2026.

This change helps us to continue providing vital transport for those needing access to medical appointments and essential journeys across the community.

Check out the newest addition our fleet — our new 16-seater fully accessible minibus.

This vehicle is part of our Day Centre Services helping bring individuals with learning disabilities from rural communities into a variety of day centres across King’s Lynn safely, comfortably, and independently.

Mental health can affect people in many different ways, and as a company we are committed to supporting both our staff and clients in any way we can.

Our Rural Dial-a-Bus service offers door-to-door transport from Swaffham and surrounding villages to Swaffham, Dereham, Fakenham, and King’s Lynn on a weekly basis.
