We are delighted to announce that Deaf Connexions will be taking over the WNDA building in Railway Road, King’s Lynn and will be offering a range of services. Our charity will remain in its current office within the building and will continue to provide hearing support to thousands of people in West Norfolk.

“WNDA is staying in the area and our extremely popular No8 The Old Bookshop in Downham Market is very much at the heart of the charity. We continue to offer hearing support and help to people who need help with their NHS hearing aids or need new batteries. Our office in King’s Lynn remains open four days a week and the No8 is going from strength-to-strength,” said Dr Philip Koopowitz, chairman of our trustees.

“The move secures the building for the future and means the D/deaf community retains a home in King’s Lynn where they can continue to meet and enjoy social activities. It has been a tough few months for WNDA and we had been looking to sell the building in order to keep the charity going. Fortunately Deaf Connexions has stepped-in and offered the best solution to keep the building and provide a similar range of services to those it currently offers in Norwich. We are now looking forward to a positive future.”

It's only 7 weeks to go until Norfolk Deaf Festival, presented by, and taking place at, The Forum, Norwich

Next week, Thursday 14 May we'll be announcing our full line-up, which you won't want to miss!

Everything during the day on the Friday and Saturday will be totally free to access, with one ticketed event, a super special comedy evening!

Some of our workshops, while free, need to be pre-booked, as spaces are limited.

We can't wait to share the details with you!

We love stories about Peppa Pig and her little brother George. George was recently diagnosed Deaf. We can all watch as the Pig family learn about deafness together

We have worked with QEH to support this project. We have delivered deaf awareness training to frontline and support staff. The Team at QEH has lead the way for other hospitals to engage Deaf people and enable better communication.
WNDA will always encourage services and businesses to be more aware of the barriers confronting deaf people in our community, and help them to take action
