Kettering Mind

Kettering Mind We are Kettering Mind, your local mental health charity. We’ll listen, give you support and advice and fight your corner.

We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone, so we’re here for you whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis or just want some ideas about how to look after your mental health. We are a registered charity affiliated to National Mind who are dedicated to supporting and empowering anyone experiencing a mental health problem, through a wide variety of services.

Today’s feedback comes from an individual who has recently attended our Understand Yourself Better course.

“It has been great to talk to people who are experiencing the same sort of issues as myself and I have learnt many things that I have already used in my day-to-day life.”

The aim is to help participants to become more self-confident, to have a better sense of their self-worth, and to encourage them to engage in activities that promote a sense of value, meaningfulness and purpose. Follow the link below to see more about this support service. 👇

Our mental health navigators, Jen and Cory, provide support in the community to help people improve their general wellbeing. If you're experiencing stress, anxiety, depression or recovering from a mental health condition and are struggling to move forward and find the right support, then a Mental Health Navigator may be for you.

Our navigators can:
🔹Meet you in a public venue of your choosing between the hours of 9-5, Monday-Friday

🔹Actively listen to what you want to do to make positive changes to improve your wellbeing

🔹Help you assess whether you are ready to make those changes and support you in planning a pathway for them

🔹Give information of appropriate support agencies that you may wish to use

🔹Motivate and empower you to make those changes and maintain them in the long term

Please just come along to any of our drop-ins or give us a call on 01536 523216. Follow the link below to see all of our drop-ins. 👇

On Friday, Kettering Mind’s Green Champions (Michelle, Darrelle, Martin and Matty) received a warm welcome from Faye Clarke and the team at Eurokey. This is a recycling facility in Kettering which is the UK’s first dedicated “supermarket sorting line” which sorts flexible and film plastics into polymer types for reprocessing. This reprocessed plastic will then go on to be used to manufacture new products.

The Green Champions were blown away by their tour of the plant and seeing Eurokey’s state-of-the-art sortation technology in action. Eurokey can process 70,000 tonnes of material per year which leads to a huge reduction in plastic going into landfill and polluting the environment and reduces the need for prime material.

Staff answered lots of questions and further raised our awareness of recycling issues which will help improve recycling behaviours within the Kettering Mind community.

This visit is part of Kettering Mind’s commitment to greening up, reducing our environmental impact and having a positive impact on the environment around us. A big thanks to Eurokey for a fantastic morning and the ongoing support as one of Kettering Mind's Community Partners. 💙

Loneliness can affect anyone, often it’s not something we can see. During Loneliness Awareness Week, let’s encourage open conversations, kindness, and connection.

A message, a phone call, or simply checking in with someone can make a real difference. No one should feel alone.

Together, we can help create more connected and supportive communities. 💙

Next week is Men’s Health Week!

Let’s encourage open conversations about physical health, mental wellbeing, and the importance of asking for support when it’s needed. 💙

Taking care of your health is a strength, not a weakness. Whether it’s booking a check-up, taking time to rest, getting active, or simply talking to someone you trust, every step matters.

Let’s continue to support healthier, happier lives for men everywhere.

🏳️‍🌈 Proud to stand as an ally this Pride Month and every month. 💙

Being an ally means listening, learning, supporting, and speaking up for equality, inclusion, and respect for the LGBTQ+ community. Everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and free to be their authentic selves. 🌈

Let’s continue building a world where love, acceptance, and kindness always win. ✨

We're Doing It Again! 🎉🏃‍♂️

After being the Headline Charity for the Kettering Half Marathon & 5K in 2026, and enjoying such an incredible day filled with community spirit, determination, and support, we're absolutely delighted to announce that we'll be returning as the Headline Charity for the 2027 event!

Last year's event was a fantastic success. From first-time runners crossing the finish line to supporters cheering every step of the way, it was a truly memorable day that helped raise awareness and vital funds for our cause. The energy, enthusiasm, and generosity shown by everyone involved made it an experience we were proud to be part of.

This year we will look to increase our fundraising efforts and once again will be offering free spaces to those who chose to fundraise for Kettering Mind. We will share further information about this in the coming weeks!

Whether you're planning to take on the Half Marathon, challenge yourself with the 5K, volunteer, or support from the sidelines, we'd love for you to join us. 💙
