Not everyone knows how medication can impact our body’s ability to keep cool. Given the recent heat wave and summer still to come we think its important to share this information.

Check the information leaflet on your medication for side effects and risks. If you have concerns, speak to a GP or pharmacist. They can advise you more on your own medication. 🌞

Don’t forget about these fantastic groups in our local community 👇

All of these have been created by our amazing Community Wellbeing Champions, who are passionate about making a positive difference locally. As part of our Community Wellbeing Champion programme, they’ve completed training with Callum from Kettering Mind to help support others in a safe and welcoming way.

There’s a range of groups available, including an ADHD peer support group and a women’s social support group, both based in Kettering. There’s also a peer support group for young women aged 16–25 in Desborough.

Take a look at the posters to see if any of these feel right for you, why not give one a try? You might find it really beneficial. Please take note that the We Women Matter group is now held at the Kino lounge, but is still the same day and time.

We’re incredibly proud of our Community Wellbeing Champions for bringing these positive and supportive spaces to our local community 💙

🐝🌼 It’s World Bee Day! 🌼🐝

Bees might be small, but their impact is huge. From pollinating the food we eat to keeping ecosystems thriving, they’re essential to life on Earth.

Here at Kettering Mind, we’re lucky to have lots of lavender in our garden, so we’re often visited by plenty of busy bees!

Today, let’s do something simple to help:

🌸 Plant bee-friendly flowers

🚫 Avoid harmful pesticides

💧 Leave out a shallow dish of water

You should be able to see a few of the bees in this picture, check out our story today to here them buzzing around!
