One of the loveliest things about our foodbank is seeing what the youngsters do to help. 🥰
From nurseries and childminders to schools and childcare settings, we love seeing them collect donations, bring them in and proudly deliver them to us.
Photos from West Lodge Day Nursery and Pre School , Lisa Mills Childcare and St Peter's School .

We absolutely LOVE it when they pay us a visit!
A huge thank you to all the little ones, their teachers, carers and families who encourage them to make a difference 💚

A huge thank you to Bill Burton for arranging and organising the fantastic Mamma Mia Party Night, raising funds for our foodbank. 💚
What a brilliant evening — lots of ABBA, lots of laughs and, judging by some of the dance moves, a few people who clearly thought they were auditioning for the West End! 😂💃
A massive thank you to Bill and to all the lovely people who bought tickets and came along to support us.
You certainly knew how to have a good time! 🎶💚

Mission accomplished!! Well done & THANK YOU Mike Deely, KLM Taxis… never stops giving 💚

Our owner Mike is taking part in the Smile of Hope Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on 2-4 October 2026 🥾

As part of participation in the event, KLM Taxis are donating £350 to Smile of Hope who are devoted to bringing light to loves of children and families facing life-limiting conditions.

Along with supporting our long-term charity partners: Kettering Foodbank and Cransley Hospice Trust. Donating £350 to each charity following completing the event.

Both charities are essential in our local community to help those in need.

Keep an eye on our socials for photos of Mike at the 3 Peaks Challenge 📸

🌾 For the first time in lots of weeks… MORE IN THAN OUT! 🎉
And we have Harvest Festival season to thank for that! 🙌
Churches that we need to thank this week are Central Methodist Church, St Edmunds Church in Warkden, St Andrew’s, St Giles in Desborough, Cransley & Mawsley Churches and Thorpe Malsor Church.
Bags and bags of donations kept coming …
Two local schools, Greenfields Primary and Hall Meadow Primary have had their harvest festivals too, and called us to collect their donations. Wow !! Thank you to the teachers, the children and of course the parents for their generosity.
Thank you too to Adrian from Kettering allotments , Krishna, Janet, Rod, Rosemary, Mr & Mrs Bacon, Desborough Co-op, Ian, Sue, Pollard Church,Kay, Sue and Mr Martin.
Your donations are already making a real difference to our shelves — and we’re very grateful. 🌾🥫💚
Thank you for helping us keep the shelves stocked!

It’s been all go here at the Foodbank this week! 🚗💨

🐝 We visited Mawsley Beavers, where Gail talked to the children about what we do and why. They arrived with bags of donations too — what a brilliant bunch! Thank you to Michaela, the Beavers and all the parents for supporting us. 💚

🌱 Then it was off to the Kettering Allotment Society social event & prize giving . After enjoying their wonderful fresh fruit and veg donations all summer, we were invited to judge the children’s “Best Scarecrow Made from Plastic Bottles” competition. Tough job… some very creative scarecrows! 😂
A lovely evening, thank you for the delicious homemade pickles, jams and cakes — and £173.60 raised for the Foodbank! 👏

⛪ Fay also gave a talk at her church this week. Lots of positive feedback and plenty of surprised faces! We love the chance to explain what we do and why it matters.

And finally, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by with donations this week.
Redeemed Christian Church of God, Mr Murray, Nicky, Pets at Home, Myra, Paul, St Andrew's Church, Kettering, Ian, Isham Wesleyan Church, Tilly, Jason, Daphne, Ian, Krishna and of course Hazel and her loomband friend Amelie 👏 (see previous post)

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY and we wouldn’t have it any other way 💚

🌈 Hazel’s Loom Band Fundraiser! 🌈

What better way to spend the summer holidays than making loom bands with your friend… and turning them into £50 for our foodbank! 💚

Hazel and her friend Amelie have been busy making and selling their colourful creations, and today Hazel came in with Mum to hand over an amazing £50 donation! 🎉👏

⭐ FIFTY POUNDS ⭐

What a brilliant idea, and what superstar fundraisers you are! 🌟

Thank you so much, Hazel and Amelie for thinking of our foodbank and putting your summer holiday creativity to such good use. We’re very proud of you! 💚

Well done, girls — and thank you to all your little loom-band customers too! 🥰

💚 A LONG OVERDUE THANK YOU! 💚
We really must say a huge thank you to our local supermarkets — Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Co-op, Aldi and Lidl — who continue to support our Foodbank by providing donation bins in their stores.
Every bag, box and tin dropped into the bins makes a difference to those who need a little extra help.
We know we say it often, but we really could not do what we do without the support of our locals — and that includes our amazing supermarkets and their customers 💚🙏💚🙏💚
