โ˜€๏ธ We survived the heatwave! โ˜€๏ธ
Luckily, it stays lovely and cool first thing in our building, but the heat certainly caught up with us. Collections must be collected and deliveries must be delivered, so by our 1 PM closing time, we were all definitely beginning to flag! ๐Ÿ”ฅ
A massive THANK YOU to all of our smashing volunteers for turning up, doing your bit, and keeping us open for business. Our drivers absolutely bore the brunt of the heat, so an extra big shout-out goes to them! ๐Ÿšš๐Ÿ‘
๐Ÿ“ธ Meet the Team! Here is our newly updated team photo. As you can see, thereโ€™s a good number of us now! We are very proud of this amazing group of people who keep Kettering Foodbank running.

Weโ€™d like to give a massive THANK YOU shout-out to everyone at The Queens Arms Orlingbury for their incredible ongoing support through their fortnightly pub quiz nights.
Quizmaster Pete, all the staff at QA and their fantastic customers have now helped raise an amazing rolling total of ยฃ9,615 for Kettering Foodbank! ๐Ÿ’š
Last week, we took a team of volunteers to join in the fun and enjoyed a brilliant evening together. We may have finished in a very respectable 2nd place, but the real winner is the strength and generosity of our local community.
Support like this makes a real difference to local people facing hardship, and weโ€™re so grateful to businesses like The Queens Arms for standing alongside us.
We would also like to thank Barbara, Ann, Mary, Isebrook School, Redrow Residents Barton Seagrave and lovely Louisa, Martin, Myra, Fuller Baptist Church Kettering, Rita, Martin, Rod, THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD, Kettering Central Methodist Church, Ian and St Andrew's Church, Kettering.

Thank you all for your kindness, generosity, and community spirit ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

Ben & Andy called in to see us this week, giving us the chance for a good chat about who we are, what we do, and of course a guided tour ๐Ÿ˜Š
We never miss an opportunity to blow our own trumpet a little โ€” sharing everything that happens behind the scenes to keep us running smoothly, fully compliant, and open to support those who need us. Thereโ€™s far more to it than simply handing out food parcels, and weโ€™re always pleased to show people the work that goes on in the background.
Of course, the donations and support we receive are our absolute backbone. Special thanks this week to Shade, Phoebe, Mr & Mrs Rice, Ian, Angela, Kettering Central Methodist Church, Ian, St Andrew's Church, Kettering, Fuller Baptist Church Kettering, Richard and Ian.

๐Ÿ’šEvery donation, large or small, makes a real difference. Thank you all ! ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒŸ Huge Shout-out to Anna! ๐ŸŒŸ
Letโ€™s give a massive round of applause for the amazing Anna! ๐Ÿ‘
Anna recently took on the challenge of running TWO park runs, raising sponsorship money from her family and friends. Instead of keeping it for herself, she used every penny to buy a large amount of food for our foodbank. ๐Ÿ›’๐Ÿฅซ
What an incredibly kind and selfless gesture from such a young member of our community! It was a joy to meet you, Annaโ€”you brightened our day and your hard work will make a real difference for local families.
Thank you, Anna! Youโ€™re a local hero! ๐Ÿ’š
Weโ€™d also like to thank St Andrew's Church, Kettering, Kettering Central Methodist Church, Donna, Steve, Frankie, Barbara, Paul, Redrow Residents Barton Seagrave & Louisa, Rod, Chrissy, KGH shop, Mr & Mrs Dunn, Ian and St Mary Magdalene Church Geddington.

We had an incredible "random act of kindness" moment this week that we just had to share.
While we were at the Tesco Phone Shop discussing future contracts for our foodbank mobile phone, a very kind gent overheard our conversation. Without hesitation, he stepped up and handed us a donation right then and there!
It was a lovely surprise and made our day. To that gentleman: ๐Ÿ’šTHANK YOU๐Ÿ’š for your generosity. Itโ€™s a lovely reminder of the kind people we have in our community.

We also want to say a huge thank you to Rosemary, Ian, Mr Riley, Casa Di Roma Kettering, Krishna and the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

May Bank Holiday Update ๐ŸŒผ
With the May Bank Holiday just around the corner, we wanted to let you know that our opening times will remain unchanged.
Weโ€™ll be open on all our normal days of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
We know this will be welcome news for many of the people we support ๐Ÿ’š

Earlier this week, we visited Mini Minds Nursery to collect from their very full donation bin. Trying to get the children to pose for a photo definitely brought a smile โ€” it was the highlight of our driverโ€™s day ๐Ÿ˜Š
A big thank you to the delightful children, their parents, and all the staff for their support.

Weโ€™d also like to say a huge thank you to the following for their recent donations: Ian, St Johnโ€™s Church Cranford, St Botolphs Church, Emily Fedorowycz, Jackie, Robert, Ian, Jo, Tracey & Neil, Cransley Hospice Trust shop, Myra, Bethany, Louisa and the Redrow residents, Mini Minds Nursery and Kettering Central Methodist Church.

๐Ÿ’šAs always, thank you for your continued generous support ๐Ÿ’š
