2.⁠ ⁠⁠Do not trust requests from any individual who asks for money via WhatsApp or text.

We look forward to seeing you all at our collaborative afternoon with the Leap and Arts Council where we will be focusing on greenery and the environment. Come along, plant some seeds or take part in a bit of graffiti.

Alhamdulillah, before and after Jumma, brothers from the community attended for free health checks and blood pressure screenings, helping to raise awareness around important issues such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and high blood pressure within the Asian community.

Many people living with high blood pressure may not even realise they have it, so events like this play an important role in early detection and intervention, leading to better outcomes.

We would like to thank everyone who attended, supported and helped organise the clinic. UKIM Keighley Madina Masjid remains committed to serving the wider community not only spiritually, but also through initiatives that support health and wellbeing.

May Allah reward all those involved and allow us to continue benefiting the community.

A special talk for sisters

In a world increasingly focused so much on outwardly appearances, Islam reminds us that what truly matters is the condition of the heart. Outward beauty and how people perceive us may impress people for a moment, but a pure heart, sincere character, and strong connection with Allah will carry real weight on the scales.

A person may look beautiful on the outside, wear the finest of clothes but their heart can be empty and devoid of any feeling.

The one whose heart is filled with remembrance of Allah, sincerity, and compassion is truly beautiful in the sight of Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Indeed, in the body there is a piece of flesh; if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupted, the whole body is corrupted. Verily, it is the heart.”

(Sahih of Bukhari & Muslim)

Allah does not judge us by our appearance, wealth, or status, but by the sincerity and purity within our hearts. May Allah grant us hearts filled sincerity, mercy and love for Him.

We request all sisters to come along and bring their friends and family along with them. The talk will exclusively take place in English and will last an hour Insha’Allah.

Free Men's Health Clinic

The South Asian community are at a significantly higher risk of heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. Many people with high blood pressure have no symptoms and remain undiagnosed until serious health problems occur.

To help raise awareness and promote early detection, UKIM Keighley Madina Masjid will be hosting a FREE Men's Health Clinic on:

- Friday 5th June
- 12:00pm – 3:00pm

Free health checks will be available, including blood pressure screening for Men's before and after both Jumma salah.

Just a reminder that from Fajr tomorrow (9 Dhul hijjah) until and including Asr on the 13th of Dhul hijjah, it is wajib in the Hanafi madhhab and Sunna in the others to recite the takbirat al-tashreeq after the fard salah (once suffices).

Alhamdulillah, brothers from the local UKIM Keighley branch spent this morning helping to clean and maintain Utley Cemetery. May Allah ﷻ accept their efforts and make it a means of reward for everyone involved.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
Cleanliness is half of faith (Sahih Muslim).

The cemetery is full of our ancestors, giants who's shoulders we stand on today. It was through their sacrifices that many of us enjoy so many luxuries. As a local community, we owe it to them to maintain the cemetery and beautify there resting places.

InshaAllah, this is the beginning of more community clean-up efforts in the future.

*Honour Your Loved Ones with a Lasting Sadaqah Jariyah*

Families now have the opportunity to have the names of their deceased loved ones added to a dedicated plaque in the new Ghusl Facility at UKIM Keighley Madina Masjid for a contribution of £500.

This facility will serve the community fi sabi lillah for generations to come, and every person who benefits from it will, inshaaAllah, be a source of ongoing reward for those remembered.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“When a person dies, their deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” (Muslim)

Alhamdulillah, we are happy to announce that there will be 3 Eid Salahs at UKIM Keighley Madina Masjid:

1st Salah
4:30am - Fajr
4:45am - Speech
5:15am - Eid Salah

2nd Salah
8:30am - Urdu Speech
9:00am - Eid Salah

3rd Salah
9:30am - English Speech
10:00am - Eid Salah

All Eid prayers will begin promptly, so please arrive early. We ask those local to please walk to the masjid. Please avoid parking inconsiderately or blocking local businesses.

Sisters can pray using the ladies prayer space which can be accessed via the conservatory at the back.

Eid ul-Adha reminds us of the complete devotion and sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (عليه السلام) in his obedience to Allah. In this same spirit, we humbly ask our local community to support us in achieving our vision of building a self sustaining community by contributing towards the establishment of a purpose-built community ghusl facility في سبيل الله.

Ice cream from Smileys will be served after the 2nd and 3rd Eid Salahs courtesy of Br. Abid.
