There will also be an opportunity to ask questions, clarify anything you are unsure about, and gain a better understanding before embarking on your journey.

A thought-provoking two-part series delivered by Maulana Harris Khan exploring important questions surrounding faith, the Quran, Allah, life after death, good and evil, and much more.

Come along for an opportunity to listen, reflect, and engage with these important topics in an open and welcoming setting.

The event is open to all and will taje place on Sunday 25th October at 4:50pm (Maghrib Salah)

Session will last approximately 40 minutes.

📚 100 Years of Palestinian Suffering — How Did We Get Here?
History matters. Not simply to remember the past, but to understand the present.

Sunday, 18th October 2026, Madina Masjid invites you to an important evening exploring the history of Israel-Palestine through the lens of Ilan Pappé’s A Very Short History of Israel-Palestine.

The book provides a concise introduction to a complex and deeply contested history, covering the rise of Zionism, the Nakba of 1948, the displacement of Palestinians, the occupation, and the continuing struggle surrounding Palestinian rights and freedom.

Whatever our starting point or prior knowledge, engaging with books like this can help us understand historical context, and listen to perspectives that are often simplified in public discussion. It is an opportunity to move beyond headlines and emotions to the historical events and ideas that have shaped the region and continue to affect millions of people today.

Join Imam Syed Asad Ali for a thought-provoking journey through the book and its historical themes.
